Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 291 and 292

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

If one division moves its brother division also moves.

It's been confirmed that 292 is moving for sure and I know of some other divisions from different ships as well, but have yet to hear anything for sure about 291. My SR didn't mention anything about it on the phone Saturday, or in his letter today so I guess we keep on like before until we hear something different. One mom of a SR who is moving said he told her to keep sending mail to the same address because it would get forwarded to him. If nothing else, at least we know that much :/

Hello! No letter from my SR, Ship 9 Div 292

Hi everyone.  Ship 09/Division 291 has moved to Ship 11.  Anyone still have the info Craig or Lemomelephant sent out about the Challenge Coins??

My son is in Ship 11, Div 291.   He's staying in GL for A school.   I've been counting the days until PIR.  Noticed on the Battlestations message board that divisions go in numerically with the lowest division numbers going first.  So it looks like  they'll be in the third set (if you count each division and their brother division as a set) going through and that they'll most likely begin on a Thursday, but Tuesday or Wednesday is a possibility.  With that said, I'm keeping my phone close by (well honestly I'm always keeping it close just in case) from July 25th on in anticipation of the "I'm a Sailor" call.  From what I've read, August 1st looks like the most probable day for their Battlestation experience.  Keeping our fingers crossed for all the recruits.

Ship 09, Div 291

Hey there!  Anyone else have a sailor in this division? My husband graduated boot camp a few years ago, and it was great knowing a few people when we arrived at PIR.  Now that my brother is graduating in a few weeks, I would love to connect with others from my his section!

My brother is doing the same.  I think he's going to be a Quartermaster?

Thanks for moving the thread - didn't realize they had changed ships...was still looking for 09.

My SR is going to either be an ET or FC.   Not sure which, yet.

I notice there are several people in this group who have SRs who are headed to Charleston for NNPTC after PIR.  My brother is in 291 and going to A School in GL, but my husband is in the Nuke program and we spent a few months in Charleston (we're in New York for this final leg of training).  Good luck to all!
