Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 815 and 816
Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).
sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining this discussion to answer your questions about the "800" division.
Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.
Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.
We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there ladies!!!

I just found this page. My son is also Ship 04 Div 816 and his PIR is July 26th, 17 more days, but who's counting?
I know. It's nice to know I'm not alone and was thrilled just to see this page with a countdown running days, hrs, min. and sec.
Me... I'm counting! Can't wait to see my son at PIR weekend!
A couple of questions. I assume there is a place to lock up personal stuff after PIR. Can I bring him some regular street closthes to wear while on liberty, or will he be wearing what he wears for the ceremony?
I got a a earned call on Thursday too- he sounds great, made my day.
Also got a letter - all good
He wont get stuck wearing dress whites all weekend. You will be able to see him in his peanut butters, which they look handsome in as well. AND, they get less dirty
Your SRs must remain in Navy issued uniform while on liberty PIR weekend. they cannot wear civilian clothes until they phase up in A School. Phasing up time varies somewhat at different A Schools, but in general it will take 2-6 weeks.
They do want "regular" underwear after PIR though, they males want to rid themselves of those tighty-whities, and the females want to get rid of the granny panties as soon as possible. LOL
They can wear civilian clothe. in the hotel room but not when out and about. Take him some shorts that u know he likes to wear so he can lounge in your room
How do I find out more about what will happen etc when he stays in GL for BUDS prep?
