While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 291 and 292
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Hello Div 292. Prayers and good wishes for everyone in Ship 9. My son is going to A school in Charleston, SC for Nukes. Anxiously awaiting a real letter, hope it comes tomorrow. Anyone else?

No but my boyfriend said they just moved to ship 11 and he's bunking with a nuc. I think.. Our conversations go by really fast on the phone. My love is going to Pensacola thank god. That's where we are from :)

Hi, my son must be in your boyfriends Division 291 Ship 11 (previously 9) as well. We are from Arizona and he too is going to Pensecola for A School.

We got a call Saturday as well. I was thrilled. Our SR said he was crazy busy. His Dad and I are both veterans and expected this and reassured him that it was okay not to write. So, we aren't really expecting much, if any, letters. We told him before he left not to worry about writing and to use any extra time to study, iron and take care of the things that will make his week easier. Having been there. It was hard finding time to write and I always felt guilty about not doing so.
