While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

moving overseas
hey everyone i am in need of some help again. My husband is currently stationed overseas and we have been trying to get all the paperwork and things done so I can go with him for the rest of his time down there. We finnaly have all the approval besides medical which is in the process of getting cleared now. My husbands chief told him they would move all of our stuff to our house once we get all the approval we need and the house set up. My question is do i have to wait till all of my things are packed and ready to go before I can move or can I have someone else in my family do all that for me once I am gone. I was told getting all that done takes a few months and I dont want to wait that long.

Someone else can do it, you have to give them a power of attorney. Have your husband contact his housing office, they can give him the guidelines for doing it that way.
Do you have the pack out guidelines? what they will and will not ship, how to prep for the move?

yes I have been on the move.mil website a lot. My mom has a general POA will that work or does it have to be a specific one from the military?
