Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

July 8th bootcamp?

My son leaves for bootcamp July 8th. He has spent the last two weeks since his high school graduation pretty much running with his buddies, a lot of fishing and swimming. Unfortunately, not much " mom time" Im having a much harder time with seeing these calendar days tick off than I thought I would. Really want to spend some time with him before he's gone and seems like I'm not on his radar screen. I know it sounds like I'm not happy and excited for him.... I am very proud. But dang I wish I could just slow down time a little.

I haven't received my son's box yet. Wow, both of your sons in the navy!! I tried talking to my other son about officers school, but he refuses. I'm just so happy that jimmy chose the navy. He said the marine recruits at meps last week looked terrified, not to say that navy training is a walk in the park either

My daughter left July 9th, and I haven't received her box yet.  I'm in Texas though, so maybe the shipping takes longer.  So hoping to get it today because I'm going out of town Tue-Sun and I'll be so sad if I have to wait.

I'm hoping the form letter with the address comes this week....then look out US postal service..you better have some muscles going for the flood of letters that are going to be coming through ;)
