Hello all, my son leaves out of Miami, July 24th.

Mine is leaving the 11th from St. Louis. I came into work this morning and flipped my calender to July. It brought tears to my eyes. I'm really not ready for this.
I know the feeling, as the day gets closer, I cry more often. I will be suffering from "Empty Nest Syndrome". It is just the two of us at home.
Hi, how did it go for your sailor,?, mine leaves on the 23rd.
Hi, my son is leaving on the 24th, how did it go for your son?
Hi, my son leaves on the 24th, how did everything go for your daughter?
Hi, how are we doing today?, I am holding my tears. In the mean time, he says he cannot wait to leave and is very excited. I have already started to plan the trip to graduation, obviously I do not have the date as of yet, neither does any one else for that group, but it comes my nerves, keeping busy is what helps me a lot, and praying.
My son left on the 11th. I thought that I was doing pretty well but today seems to be even worse. I think that I'm just emotionally exhausted. My son was the same way...he couldn't wait to leave. It's such an exciting time for them. I'm sure that my son is doing great as I'm sure your's will too. I think for me it's knowing that this is a big changing point in our family. It's hard to grasp the concept that my son will be a man when he returns. I'm proud of that and saddened by that at the same time.
Thank you for writing. My boy will be leaving and a grown man will come back to visit me or I will visit him, when I see him the next time. In a way is hard to get use to it, since deep inside we want them to stay close and never grow old.
