Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 291 and 292
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Hi everyone :o) my son is on Ship 11 (previously 9) in Division 291 and is headed to Pensacola A school after PIR. Didn't hear from him this weekend :( but his letter from just after the 4th said that "Hell Week" was coming up. I know that means something but not sure what, LOL. I think it might have something to do with not hearing from him this last weekend but I have my fingers crossed for this weekend. Just a few weeks until PIR now, that certainly went by quickly but glad we are coming to the end of Boot and so proud of all our men for making it thus far and fully expect a PIR for all of them. Anyone staying at the NAVY Lodge for the PIR 8/9?
Hi QC Mom. We're staying at the Navy Lodge as well. As a mom, I wanted to be as close to base as possible. I think I would have pitched a tent outside the gate if they would have let me. Lol. Just want to squeeze in as much time with our SR as possible and cutting down on the commute back to base I hope will let us do just that. Our SR is staying GL. So, we're hoping for lots of time (relatively speaking) with him. I see that your SR will be heading out to Pensacola soon after PIR. I've been to Pensacola many, many times over the years. In fact, I think that is where our SR first fell in love with the Navy at the Naval Air Museum. We love the area. Hope you and your SR will as well.
