Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 327 and 328

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Thank you Kelly for replying back. She is in div 942. I cannot imagine how hard it must be. I told her it will get better. She wasn't listening to it! Then the phone got disconnected.

Yay!  Just got a very short (3:30) call from my SR.  (Ship 3, Div 328).  So nice to hear his voice even for a few minutes.  Made my day since today is my birthday (not that he kept track of that there but not a big deal!)

jbirdsmom, are you saying that yesterday's call was an earned privilege?  (I don't know what y-days are!)  My son called yesterday too for a very short call-called his gf too so that took some of mom's time!  My SR is very thankful for all the letters, cards, and pics too!

Well, I'm happy to see from you and AMH that it was a privilege!  That has to mean some things are getting easier/looking up! He didn't tell me that.   I think my SR is missing home pretty bad!

Good for your son's promotion!  I don't know if my son was in that group-heck I didn't know it was a privilege to get to call either!  It is hard to hear them sound so demoralized and uncertain!  I wish there were magic words to help but I can just keep repeating how proud of him I am and telling him he's got this!

I can't imagine not getting mail!  When my son called yesterday, he gave me two names of other SRs who aren't getting mail.  I'll write them and I passed their names on to two other moms on here.

I just saw you are from Fort Collins!  We are from the Springs!

To the Springs?

My son is the EPO for the group and said that they scored 4.5 out of 5 for one of their tests so it was an earned privilege. He said they will likely call again Tuesday since its their mandatory 1/2 way call.
We are booked at the Residence inn

We are book at the Navy Lodge

I think it is right outside the post actually.  Called Great Lakes Navy Lodge.
