Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 335 and 336

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My daughter just turned 18 also! (July 20th). Sounds like they have the same attitude!  It makes it easier for me.

get to your phones!  I just got a call from my SR.  Made my day.  He said he had watch last week so could not send out his letters.  Thought I would share that so if you don't get a letter, it may be that your SR was on watch like mine,

Sharla, thank-you, I did not know about the facebook page. I just joined. I got a call from my daughter around 6:20, their time, this evening! She sounded so tired, but good. She had her wisdom teeth pulled on Wednesday.

I got a call today!  I was so excited and glad to hear his voice.  He had his bottom wisdom teeth out on Wednesday, but said it was no big deal.  He was still cranky, but sounded better than I expected based on his latest letter.  He said he misses his family and windows.

My SR is my 4th child of 5 but she is my baby girl.  LOL she loves that since her little brother is eight years younger.  She was in DEP for 8 months but had decided almost a year ago that this was what she wanted to do.  We have gotten a couple of letters and a couple of phone calls where she sounds upbeat but admits that it is the hardest thing she has done so far.  She is Div 335.

She told me yesterday that she passed her float test and swim test the second time around but that her first fitness and inspection were easy.  Passing the float and swim were a relief since I worried about those since last week when she sounded so down about them.  Hopefully, I can meet up with her older sister tonight and find out what they talked about so I can try to get more information.

She splits her time between her Dad, me and her siblings when she calls and writes so if we want a full story we have to talk to each other to piece it together.  I also found it very funny that the tone of her letters changed depending on who she was writing to.  Her big sister and I got the OH, this is so hard!  her older brother go the This is hard but you know I got this! and her little brother got the You know your sister is a bad ass of course I got this!  Thank goodness I had a chance to see everyone else letters or I probably whould have been very upset for a while.

I am so happy to have found the group that she is with.  I was wondering where they were.  I will be praying for each of you and your SR every day as I pray for mine.

Realized my SR left 3 weeks ago today. I just sat down and cried for a few minutes because I miss him so much. Then I got up and pulled myself together. He is going through so much more - I can do my part. :-) Good night everyone and God bless our SRs.

Me too, Oregon mom.  I'm having a "miss my baby" day today.  I miss the random chit chat and banter so much it aches.  But I know it's just the sudden cold turkey aspect of her leaving....i'm still adjusting and she is too.  I have to remember that she has the harder end of this deal, and I pray that she finds strength she never knew she had.  :)

Ship 14 Div 336, I got a letter from my SR today.  He said they got IT'd right after he called on Saturday evening.  It "sucked" (his words, not mine) but we are all still alive.  He said he really liked talking to us and it really picked him up.  Yeah!!  He said standing for inspections is hard because his feet get tired, even though he hasn't gotten blisters.  He says he isn't complaining.  He said it really isn't that hard but he would like a good nights sleep in a real bed.  The RTC beds make dorm beds look good.  : ) He also hates the whitey-tighty's.  (This just made me laugh because he is a boxer guy).  He really likes the NWU's. At the end he tells us now to worry, he is doing fine and keep writing him.  That is when I finally started to cry.  I am so so so proud of my SR!  And write, write, write, every day if you can.  I am hoping and praying you all get letters today or tomorrow.Tomorrow is our 4th Friday, start of week 3-1, so only 4 more to go!!! Half way there. : )

just got a phone call.  He is doing good- not home sick yet.  He hasn't received mail for the past 2 nights so is hoping to get letters tonight.  I received on from him yesterday.  He wrote his little sister 3 pages and I only got one.  It's okay though, I got the call today.

We got calls from our SR today.  Ship 14 Div 336.  He sounded so good!  I love Thursdays!

We also got a call today! I was really surprised because when we talked to him last weekend he said that he didn't think they would let them call for another two weeks or so. He sounded good, just tired. He passed his big test on Tuesday so they gave him another phone call - made my day!

OK, i joined N4M a month ago and still learning to navigate my way around. My SR has been moved around since RCU and now is a part of this division. When she called me last week, she only gave me the Div 335 but not the ship #. i believe she said 14. Can anyone give me the correct address so that i  can send her letters. Also, what about the letters i had already mailed prior to her moving. Does anyone know if these are forwarded to the SR's? I am glad to be a part of this group and hope to meet with you all at PIR and Meet&Greet.
