For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Made it to 2 PM without much ado, but now I'm anxious to hear anything - is today the day, did they all make it, if not today, then Sunday? Many, many questions plaguing my mind. And then there's all the what if questions. Holding my breath, crossing my fingers and sending up a few prayers as well.

My DIL got a letter yesterday saying he was told they could call between 5-6, hopefully that is what will happen! Just want that call! Lol!

Thanks CJsmom. This info is most helpful. My SR hasn't said a word. He's usually pretty tight lipped about everything. Even as a kid I had to just keep asking questions until I got the info I needed. After I would say to him "Now was that so hard." To which he would say, " I didn't think it was that important." Lol.

Just wanted to say "Thank you, ladies." You have been a most valuable source of support and strength during this time. I am so proud to have had the opportunity to get to know you. My family and I are staying at the Navy Lodge. I hope we run into each other, as I would like to put a face and name to your navy mom sign-on alias. Bravo Zulu moms. We've raised wonderful children.
