For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

What happens after Bootcamp is over with and my Sailor is in A school?
Hey ya'll.. My sailor graduates PIR next week Very excited even though I'm not able to go I am excited for him.. I was wondering if maybe we would hear from him sometime this week? And also what goes on at A school??(:

you will hear from him after BS :)
when he gest to A school he will have INDOC. he will get watch quals done and do lots of cleaning while waiting to class up. then once he classes up, he will be doing his school until he graduates, which he will recieve his first oders to his duty station :) with A school he gets communicatin which is amazing.. my husband and i skyped almsot every day. dpeneding on what base he will be going to, there are different things to do. at the NAS base in Pcola they have portside for the sailors. he will also be able to to leave the base and explore. :) -

@UrabissWife Thanks, I'm excited to FINALLY hear from him!! I'm 16 so you can only imagine lol:) we plan on getting married after I graduate:) i start my Junior week next week!!! So that's why I try to get lots of information:) like benefits& information like what you have giving me:)

awe how sweet! JR year was my favorite. i graduated early so senior year was short for me :) . when you get a break during school you can go out and be with him :) that will be nice, though u can't stay in the barracks. so you will have to stay in a hotel. if that is an option for you :) the NAS base in Pcola lets civilians go on there b/c of the museum and light house. other than that, you wont be able to get on without being accompanied by someone in the military or their spouse. My husbands divison won captians cup and was in recruite heaven all day so they were able to use the phone and get on FB before BS. cross ur fingers his division does good. then they do BS , then PIR. It gets so much better after that :) he is going to be super busy when he first gets to A school though. I didn't get to talk to my husband much. 5 minutes here and there but they are super busy getting situated. not to mention they are not use to the freedom so it takes a little bit for that to kick in.

Thanks, I am so excited it's been Really hard but in the end it's all worth it(;, I hope when I' do get a break my parents will let me go see him that would be so amazing!!! Idc if it's five minutea lol as long as I get to hear his voice I will be just fine!!;), honestly knowing he is doing it for our future together is what keeps me going every single day!!!;)
