Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 943

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Ty was disappointed too that we won't see him march in.
I've been so happy all day just thankful that we got a chance to speak with our wonderful sons!

I am trying to decide if I should be concerned after reading how well everyone's son is adjusting. Mine sounded miserable when we talked to him on Sunday and so homesick. He too will be heading to P'cola after BC.

Dianna, have you gotten a letter yet? Mine indicated things can change within a moment. Stay strong. We've got this !

Dianna-

I feel your pain about your SR sounding upset.  My SR has had 2 years of college and went away for internships in the summer and is now homesick!  Who would have thought!  He did sound better on Sunday and the letters we received today were even better.  Hang in there!  He is headed to Monterrey for A school and I think that's got him bothered too since he will be so far away from home.  But I can't wait to visit!

Whoo hoo! Just got a call!! My boy mentioned Tyler from CA, Patrick from TX, 6'7" Aaron from FL, and Hunter from FL!! All good guys! Said they are doing well. My SR got his wisdom teeth pulled too!!LOL
He also mentioned Matt from Pittsburg ( his bunk mate) and Mike from NY were on watch today and missed there opportunity to call. :(

Got a call as well, phone connection was terrible.  Told him to push the cord in, but it didn't help.  He had bottom 2 wisdom teeth out as well and sounded tired.  Says he is still enjoying (?) RTC.  Wants letters every day, told him I will write 2 on Saturdays so he doesn't miss a day. Tinat, my SR is 6'7" Aaron from Florida.  He says the Division is shaping up very well, they are going to form study groups to ensure everyone passes their tests.  Great day.  I told him to call his grandmother, since our connection was soo poor and he has not called or written to her yet.

Yes, Aaronsmom, I know! That's great! It was cool for us to compare who I met on N4M with who he's met at BC. I guess the boys all laugh at us moms who use acronyms. They said we know them before they do and they are getting a kick out of us on this site learning with them.
Also wanted to let you know my SR mentioned that they may be able to call tomorrow so if you didn't get a call, keep your phone on close watch!

Hello Moms,

I just joined this site, and have been reading all of your posts for a few days. My SR secretly enlisted right after turning 18, and went to bc on 7/9 without saying good bye to friends and family. Based on that date, her PIR should be 9/6 unless she is held back. It's a long story, but she disowned her entire family and friends after quarreling with her parents over her 21 year old boyfriend. I have not received any calls, the box, the form letter or any mail. :(  I am sure she sent all to her boyfriend. She should not have joined because of her medical history, and saying I am "worried sick" is an understatement! I am petrified and my heart is breaking! While her brothers, father, cousins, etc. are hurt and angry, I have been crying so much that I have actually gotten wrinkles. I just start crying no matter where I am. I have multiple nightmares every night and get little sleep, and my doctor had to prescribe additional blood pressure medication for me. I don't know what ship or division she is in, but may (not sure- she is singer/musician) have narrowed it down to Ship 14 Div 335/336, Ship 12 Div 331/332, Ship 13 Div 333/334 or Ship 3 Div 337/338. I have been writing her, but don't know the address. I would be forever grateful if you could ask your SR if they know my daughter, and how she is handling bc. Not knowing what is happening to her is killing me. Her name is AlinaMari from Redlands, CA, pronounced AlinaMarie and she usually goes by Alina. Please don't share the personal details with your SR so they don't get back to my SR. She is, obviously already angry at her family.

Thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart!!!. I will keep your SRs in my prayers along with my own.

Hi Pennyaire and welcome! I'm so sorry that your SR and the family are having issues. Know that we all have our own concerns and worries and you are not alone. That being said, I can tell you that this ship seems to be all young men and we are the "staff" of the performing groups. Somewhere on here there was a list of ships and there " jobs". If she is in the performing ship then she is certainly a 900 just not this one. Let me see if I can find the list for you. My prayers go out to you and my lips are sealed...certainly wouldn't want to cause anymore grief for you.
