Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 341 and 342

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Good Morning!!!! I hope everyone has an exceptional day today  :)

Good morning!

Got two letters yesterday from my SR! (Lucky.... I know!)

I hope everyone that has not received a call or a letter gets one or both very soon!

We finally got letters today! (The official form letter still hasn't arrived, though). It was SO WONDERFUL to "hear" his voice through his writing! He wrote a letter to each member of the family, separately. :) :) :)

So now we know he is Ship 09, Division 341, and we have his address so we can mail the stack of letters we have all written! A VERY happy day here! :)

Hi Moms,

I want to thank everyone for their kindness during my journey through DEPS and PIR 9/13/13. It has been great reading all the excitement as you have received your "kid in a box", form letter, phone call home and first letter from your SR. I wish all of you, your families and SR a wonderful journey on this path. It's a hard life your SR has chosen. You can be very proud of them and take pride in serving their country.

Due to uncontrollable high blood pressure my son is being separated from the Navy. He has been moved to Ship #5 for the next 10-20 days while his paperwork is processed and then released to come home. This was his dream, but I am a true believer than when one door closes, another one opens. Neither my son or I are bitter. Through his entire time in RTC he had to sit out and watch his brothers go about their daily requirements.

He sounded so much better when we last spoke earlier today. A lot calmer and relaxed. So, take it from my son as he watched your SR go through the rigors of the day, they are strong; physically, emotionally and mentally. HIs bunk mate and he became fast friends, along with other brothers in his division. When he left to go to Ship 5 some of his brothers gave him their address and asked that he write them and keep them up to date on his new path. It thrills and amazes me how quickly they form these friendships.

When you are at PIR please give your "Sailor" an extra hug from this Mom.

I am so very sorry, daddysannie.  Sounds like you have such a wonderful attitude about it and can really pull along beside him to help him through the process.  If you want to be allowed any info re: your son directly from RTC personnel, ask him to sign a waiver allowing this.  Always a good idea in the event you need to be in touch with Legal yourself.  Blessings to him in this process.  You may want to join the Ship 5 group on here for more info/support.  Just search for it under the GROUPS tab up top.  Hoping that he can process out quickly!

Hello everyone! How is everyone hanging in there? I got my first letter yesterday.I was jumping with joy and all the tears that were shed were from pure joy. I miss my SR so much. Anyone know if we will be receiving another call tomorrow?

Well my SR said in his letters that they might get a call on Saturday, but I still haven't gotten one. So I don't know!

Surprise phone call today -- and it lasted a LONG time! More than 30 minutes, and he talked to everyone!

How many of you guys got calls yesterday? My SR said he would call, but didn't. I'm  a little worried.

Our son called us on Wednesday and said he will not be able to call until after battle stations which is a week before PIR. Hope u get a call!
