Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 359 and 360

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi.  My SR is on ship 12, Division 359.  Only 7 more weeks!

Hi,

Just got the form letter from my son today.  It was comforting to see his handwriting.

Hi Matty's Mom-

My son, Dylan, is on the same Ship and Div as your son.  I'm glad you got the form letter and I know it is a relief to see their hand writing.  I did get my first call on Saturday and that was the best day ever.  I hope you hear from your son soon.  Best wishes and I hope we can keep in touch.

Hi Sandy,

Yes we heard from him on Saturday as well.  Just 10 minutes...wishe it was longer.  But I will take what I can get!  We are staying at the Navy Lodge for the PIR.  Did you make reservations yet?

Oh I'm so glad you heard from your son.  That, to me, was such a great day!  We will be staying at the Ramada.  I made the reservation the day I got the form letter.  In retrospect, I probably should have booked us at the Navy Lodge but we will make do.  I look forward to meeting you at the PIR.  Thank you for writing.  It is so nice to hear from everyone!

My SR is Ship 12, Div 360, he is my only child. Looking forward to connecting with you all going thru all the changes we are all incurring.

Hi Laurie w.  Nice to hear from you at this site.  How are you doing?

Hi Ben'sMom,
What an emotional day, just seeing his handwriting had me crying. I am trying to adjust to the changes but so proud. How are you dealing with everything?

My SR is in Ship 12, Division 359.  He is my oldest son of three and my first to leave home.  My hope is that he makes good friendships with those in his division. :)  Any other moms or dads with Nukes heading to Charleston, SC after bootcamp for A School?

Looks like our son's are together but my son  is headed to FL. for A school.  My hope, as well as you, Tinamev, that our sons make friendships that make their time more meaningful.  Have you received your letter?  I got mine today so I know for sure that PIR is Sept 20 so I went ahead and made reservations for us to stay overnight a few days.

I received my letter yesterday.  I too went ahead and made my reservations.  I cannot wait to see all those handsome young men and woman in their dress whites.  I am so excited to be able to give my son a big hug.  Seven weeks cannot come fast enough.

My son Alex is also in ship 12 div 359 :) But isn't in the Nukes.
