Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 345 and 346

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I wrote to my son today and told him to give your son my name and email in one of his personal letters to you.  Once we receive letters from our recruits we can connect on our private emails.:)

Great idea, IF I he writes to us!  Still feeling very sad as we did not receive a letter this week.  I'll do the same, so hopefully mine will pass the info to your son, who seems to be better at writing. :)

I rec'd a 2nd phone call from my son on Sat at 4:00pm pacific time! It was short but a nice surprise.

My daughter is in Div 345.  I received my second call yesterday evening!!!  It was great to hear her voice.  She said things were going good.  Can't wait to see her at graduation.  Hope everyone is getting thru this training time with their loved one away. It may not be easy but we should all be proud!!!

Good Morning!!  38 days until PIR day...

My daughter is in DIV 345, her A school will be in Great Lakes as well.  Miss her like crazy.  Cannot wait to see her at PIR  on September 13.  I received a second phone call from her last Saturday about 6:00.  It was such a joy to hear her voice again.  This is great to connect with other families of recruits on the same ship.  Look forward to reading what all you have to say.

I asked my daughter for any names of recruits that might not be receiving any mail so I can send a card or something to them.  I want them all to know how proud we are of them serving our country.

Did other parents of Ship 11, Division 346 receive a second phone call on Saturday 8/3?  My friend's daughter is in Ship 11, Division 345 and she received a second phone call on Sat.   Was so hoping to hear a second time from my son, but thus far nothing since 7/27.  Longing to hear his voice.

Yes, my son (ship 11, div 346) called at 4:00pm (pacific time).  However, I only talked to him briefly as he also wanted to call a few of his friends.  He had forgotten his address book in his locker so he called me to see if I had any of their numbers. :)  I had a couple numbers.  He called me back and was a little down because none of his friends answered his calls.  Hopefully, these Sat. calls will continue....hang in there!

Has anyone received a second letter yet, not counting the form letter?  When I talked to my daughter on Saturday she said she had not received any mail yet and we haven't received another one from her.  I know they are probably tired and trying to keep focused but I am going crazy not hearing from her.  I know we are all anxious to hear from our recruits.

Just received our second call from our recruit.   It was only a 10 minute call, but it thrilled my heart.  He's in Ship 11 Div 346.

I have only received one letter so far :( I have been anxiously awaiting another letter, she said that they can only write on Sundays. I did get to talk to her on the phone on Saturday so that made my day! She didn't think that they would be able to call again for awhile so I am not anticipating a call that way I won't be disappointed. It will make that final call that much sweeter!! I hope all you moms and dads are holding up ok! Stay strong, we have to because they have to!

Only one letter from my son also.  Hoping for another today or tomorrow (we're in AZ).  Thanks for the notice about not expecting a phone call.  My son didn't mention that to me.  Actually, I was surprised to get a call 2 Sat. in a row.  Looking forward to a letter...maybe a few more details and answers to my many questions.  I think the first letter was written before they started receiving mail.
