Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 337 and 338

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Meg, I heard that too that curfew is like 10pm, but as long as I can be with him, I'm ok with that. We fly in on Sept 5th coming from Sacramento, CA. Hope I see all at Sarge meet n greet :)
Yes you are right ..I am glad to just spend time with him! Unfortunately I will not fly in on time for any of the meet an greets

Hello Moms,

I just joined this site, and have been reading all of your posts for a few days. My SR secretly enlisted right after turning 18, and went to bc on 7/9 without saying good bye to friends and family. Based on that date, her PIR should be 9/6 unless she is held back. It's a long story, but she disowned her entire family and friends after quarreling with her parents over her 21 year old boyfriend. I have not received any calls, the box, the form letter or any mail. :(  I am sure she sent all to her boyfriend. She should not have joined because of her medical history, and saying I am "worried sick" is an understatement! I am petrified and my heart is breaking! While her brothers, father, cousins, etc. are hurt and angry, I have been crying so much that I have actually gotten wrinkles. I just start crying no matter where I am. I have multiple nightmares every night and get little sleep, and my doctor had to prescribe additional blood pressure medication for me. I don't know what ship or division she is in, but may have narrowed it down to Ship 14 Div 335/336, Ship 12 Div 331/332, Ship 13 Div 333/334 or Ship 3 Div 337/338. I have been writing her, but don't know the address. I would be forever grateful if you could ask your SR if they know my daughter, and how she is handling bc. Not knowing what is happening to her is killing me. Her name is AlinaMari from Redlands, CA, pronounced AlinaMarie and she usually goes by Alina. Please don't share the personal details with your SR so they don't get back to my SR. She is, obviously already angry at her family.

Thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart!!!. I will keep your SRs in my prayers along with my own.

I have a son but I will ask him in my letter to him on Friday. Did you reach out to her boyfriend. Even if you don't see eye to eye...maybe let bygones be bygones. At least maybe he would share some information with you.
Or check with your local navy recruit

I did. He said they used to post the addresses on a website, but it is down now, so he does not know her division and ship #. I have read here that others got their from the recruiter, so is he lying to me? Her knew we did not support her enlisting, so maybe he is.

Thank you very much Meg! He doesn't reply to my texts or voice messages. This morning I messaged him on Facebook- no reply yet. He did reply to my son, but claimed he only received one call and does not have her address. I know that is NOT true. There are others that want to write her too, but? My family (4 men) tells me that I am being ridiculous and that I should get off the computer and stop stressing. I am happy to be on here so that I can see that I am not the only one feeling this way. They say that my daughter is doing this on purpose and that I am allowing her to hurt me. I know they are right, and I have to try and get on with my life... and, hopefully, in time I will. Best wishes and prayer for you and your son.

Perhaps ...after bootcamp she will appreciate you more...I know my son does. ? In my original letter home ...the formal one with my sailor's address ...it had ......."if you need any assistance , please feel free to contract our public affairs office at 847-688-2405." However, the letter also said about making sure to encourage you sailor..so if they think that you may upset her they may not give you the info since bootcamp is hard and emotionally draining as it is. But I do understand ...I would want to hear from my sailor and at least be able to tell them how much I miss and love them even if I did not always agree with their choices. I am glad and proud my sailor enter the navy. I will open many opportunities for him.
My son just replied and unfortunately does not know your daughter. Sorry

Thank you for asking him. :)

Meg, GL is for Great Lakes..
Thanks...still learning
