Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 339 and 340
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Got a great letter from my SR today! He listed his 'good friends' as Koudri from Togo, Davis and Wilson from Tennesee, Blackburn from Alabama and Kane ("don't know where he is from but he's the other maie nuke in the division")!! Any takers, please friend/message me and we can chat about our 'boys'!!!!!!
Mail -- how exciting! I'll be stalking the mailman tomorrow -- seems we still have the pony express delivering mail here in Idaho. LOL I think it is great when they can connect with others in their division -- and it is even more cool when they connect with others in their rate as they will likely end up in A school together after bootcamp. :)
Received a letter today! It was addressed to his 12 year old brother though -- so no mail for mom. LOL He sounded good and appreciates the "sports" updates his little brother is providing him. Stated little things like that from the "outside world" are big moral boosters. He indicated they haven't done anything too exciting so far -- but that it should pick up and move pretty fast with Week 4 (Hell Week). Hoping everyone else gets mail from their SRs today as well!
I received the Challenge Coin for Ship 11 in the mail today! It looks great and will make a great PIR gift. What is everyone else doing for PIR gifts?
I got my coin too - aren't they PRETTY?!!!
I haven't really thought about that with being nervous about the trip and working. We are coming from Texas. I checked out the site and it is a nice looking coin.
I got a letter from my daughter yesterday :-)
Hi, my son is in this Div 340 Daniel Weston. I am worried because i have only received 1 letter
