No I haven't connected with Cathymg but will try to. Thanks. My daughter got hers cut before she left so she would have time to get used to it.

Oh I'm sorry her son left 31st! Have all these dates in my head!!!

Well people I got "the box" today. When I answered the door and the FedEx man showed it to me and I saw her handwriting on the box I Lost It! I think it scared the poor guy. Didn't think it would hit me so hard. Was really surprised because it came so quick. Anybody else get theirs?

Yes, my son's box came today also. Well actually, FedEx left a tag. ( I was at work.) I had gone into their website and registered for FedEx delivery manager, because I knew I'd problebly be at work when it came, so I had instructed to please leave my deliveries at my front door. I guess they didn't get the message. Anyway, we went to pick it up and when I also saw his handwriting on the box, I got really choked up. I was surprised too that it came so fast. Maybe the form letter will be quick too!

Have you heard anything about Graduation? Was told it would be either 9/27 or 10/4? Guess we have to wait until we get those letters.

Spoke to the Chief yesterday and he told me 10/04 but another mom's son left on 08/01 and her son is 09/27! So who knows ?

Hi! My daughter left from San Diego on July 30th.  I haven't gotten "the letter" yet.  Did get her box pretty quickly.I am going stir crazy waiting for the info.  I'm hoping to get it soon!!

My daughter left from Los Angeles on 7/30...got her box on mon 8/5...still waiting for the form letter. I did get her address & PIR date from her recruiter but I'll wait for the form letter before I send a letter. We were told 10/4 for PIR.
My daughter left 07/31 and we had the box but no PIR letter either! She is Ship 12 division 371 PIR 10/4 - this was jnfo from the Chief.
That's the same info we were given!! :) ship 12/ div 371 PIR 10/4
