My last night at home with my SR. I take him to the Navy office in Claremore in the morning and he is off to BC. WOW!! What an emotional wreck I am lol. Had a mass DEP meeting in Tulsa this last Saturday with family invited to attend - all I can say is how impressive. I think I finally got my son to see how hard it is to imagine that my roll in his life will never be the same when that door closes behind him in the morning. Not that I am just being the over protective "Mommy" lol - just that things will be forever changed in us all; although I cannot wait to follow my young man on this journey in his life - I am one proud momma

My son is Brian - we live in Jay, it would be great if they get to know each other
that is so cool - this is such a great site - it helped me to prepare my self knowing what to expect and knowing other moms are going through the same thing right now. Brian is very outgoing to and never met a stranger lol. It was great for me as well - he checked in 5 or six times throughtout the day....mostly for my benefit I am sure but we chatted all day. The Im here call came at 8:12 pm and as much as I thought I was prepared for it - nope lol. I could not be prouder though. Tonight I light the blue candle :)
I am buying my blue candle tonight for my Brian - all of our children are in prayers continously - such a brave and honorable choice they have made to serve thier country. My son has asked me not to open the box - just leave it Mom - i left everything behind for your to remember me by already lol - you will just cry. So I think i will honor his decision and leave it til he gets to A school and asks me to send his phone.
Have you gotten your box yet? lol I think I may be getting impatient
