Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 351 and 352

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

We are in Orange County Ca. we already booked our flight. My SR is in the same Div. as yours. We are flying up there on the 18th taking the red eye with spirit airlines and arriving on the 19th. It was only 89.00 one way and then we are taking united back home on the 23rd. Monday for 180.00 I think. We are flying into and out of O'Hare. We are staying at the Navy Lodge for the entire trip. the most expensive thing for us has been the rental car. Because of the airport we are using and the time our flight is leaving we have to pay for an additional day. We are paying 265.00 for a mini van which has been the lowest I've been able to find for 2 weeks. I have spent hours on it..... But at least it will be large enough to give everyone room and we can all fit into one car after PIR. As far as a refund on the ticket if there is a change in the PIR... well we have to pay a penalty but then we have a year to change the ticket so If that happens I will just change the ticket and go visit him while he is in A school. Because if he doesn't have a PIR on his original date there wont be one at all. Hope this info helps ..... DeAnn

Yours is going to Charleston, right?

We are also staying at Navy Lodge, same time, same Ship!

"Because if he doesn't have a PIR on his original date there wont be one at all."

What does that mean? They don't do PIR if they get held back??

From what I have read and been told if they haven't completed everything by their PIR date they will be moved with another Div. to complete it. if too much time goes by then decisions are made whether to let the SR contintue to try or not. Once they do complete everything they will not have a Graduation - PIR ceremony with the new Div. they will just be automatically sent to A school when they complete boot camp. You might want to verify it with the Admin. but that's what I remember reading.

5 weeks from today, woo hoo,

Anyone else going to be staying at the Holiday Inn?

We are going to be at the Marriott Residence Inn, about 4 miles from base.  Happy Birthday MarGlenn, our son is in the same division as yours.  Look forward to meeting at Sarge's if you attend that.

What is Sarge's??

I am going to try to go to Sarge's. But I am driving to GL with SR's grandparents. Not sure if I can talk them into it.

Sarge has a meet and greet before PIR gotzcha.

Where do I find info about it? Is it right before graduation? at a certain place? who is there??

Thanks!
