Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 359 and 360
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

One letter yesterday, plus a mini one-paragraph letter for his little sister who was so thrilled! He wrote it back when they were still in P-Hold and sounded very cocky, guessing that changed quickly! I wish he had written more last weekend so I had more current news of how he's doing, but I'll take what I can get!! Just focusing on "no news is good news" right now and hoping for another phone call tomorrow from 359
My letter was short and sweet also. I'm hoping we get our calls tomorrow :) Only 5 Fridays to GO!!!! Stay Strong Mommas we got this!!! Go Navy {{{NMH}}}

Received another 20 minute phone call yesterday from my SR. He is sounding great. He mentioned that things are beginning to fall into place as his division is starting to work as a team. He said everyone in his division (359) has passed their swimming qualification and that everyone in his division scored 100% on some academic test. Way to go, guys! He also told me he is making friends...he mentioned a few great guys who bunk around him (Ma*() and Mu*()). Hoping everyone else enjoyed a nice talk with their SR!

I am really missing my Div 359 SR this week. I am soso looking forward to mail day tomorrow! Anyone hear from their 359er lately? I have not.
I'm sorry...I know it's hard but stay strong we are over the hump! I haven't heard anything since Sundays call. Praying for peace and comfort for you today :) God bless {{{NMH}}}
Hi Ben's Mom-
It's Sandy, Dylan's Mom. Hang in there, we are all here to support each other and we will. Dylan was able to call his Dad last Monday (8/19) and I received letters in today's mail. Each call and letter sounds better than the last so I have faith things are going better for all! For me, letters seem to arrive on Thursdays only. Hopefully, you will hear from Ben soon. Dylan did mention they get 2 more calls before graduation so I take my phone everywhere. You will here from him soon I'm sure:)
Hi Ben's Mom,
We got a letter yesterday, it was the shortest by far. My SR still sounds down and frustraited...it is heart breaking to say the least. Hang in there, we will get to see them in 27 days!!!! I know my SR called his girlfriend on Monday, she said he was sad :( We spoke to him on Sunday and just tried our best to encourage him. From what I have been able to read on the web, next week should be a little more exciting..using firearms and fire fighting.
Lisa
Hi Lisa-
I'm Sandy, Dylan's Mom. I can relate to the letters you are receiving from your SR. The first few I received seemed so sad but this weeks letters were more uplifting. I think it's just such a hard adjustment for them and for us. They are starting to branch out and do different things which will help their morale. We just have to stay upbeat for them and for each other. We will all be okay:) I hope to meet all of you at PIR.
God Bless you and your family.
Sandy
Just got a letter. My SR said they are only allowed to write on Sundays. SR also said they are working on 4 hours of sleep a day. He also said he is feeling better, but is getting blisters :(
Gearing up for hell week! Said he loved the lyrics I sent for songs and asked we keep the letters coming! Blessings, Lisa |
Lisa,
I sent lyrics to my SR as well. I am not sure if you have heard the song "Whom Shall I Fear?" by Chris Tomlin, but it has excellent lyrics...ones that will encourage and uplift. Go to youtube.com and listen for yourself. Those are the lyrics I sent my SR. May I ask which song lyrics you used?
Kind regards,
Tina
Hi tinamev
I am trying to remeber all of them, but I do remember "How He Loves" by David Crowder, "Cannons" I think that Wickham's "Love The Lord With All Your Heart" , by Lincoln Brewster.
"Revelation Song" | Jennie Lee Riddle |
to name a few. Sorry I didn't respond earlier...I just saw this.
Blessings,
Lisa
