Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Big Love to you. It's tough for sure but it's amazing how fast the time goes. Letters will become like gold to recieve! I found it helped me to write every day. .. just conversational aid about what was going on. It helps them get through to receive the letters. Keep strong and remember -this is temporary!

My boyfriend is there now and left on 7/18. The thing that has helped me the most is keeping busy and writing. It gets a lot easier once they're able to send letters back or even call for 5 minutes. It's important to allow yourself to cry as well even if it seems stupid. I cry over the littlest things that remind me of him. :] stay strong

We've all been there at one point or another... My fiancée left 3 years ago for boot camp... Now we are married have 2 kids and are gearing up for our second deployment... It's gonna be a lot of long years of goodbye just know that this one is the hardest and in only 2 short month u will see him again... It may feel like time is creeping by but as soon as u see him again it will feel like no time has passed and u will be able to begin ur new life!!! It's a big step but you can do it!!! He needs u to do it!!! Good luck and we will all be here for u!!!
