For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 367 and 368
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

I got my call today also. my son is on ship 3 div 367. He was crying, very home sick. He has been in bed sick for 3 days and is now on light duty, scared that he wont make pir now. It was a very tough call for me but I encouraged him and told him to keep focused and he will be fine.....

I got a similar call and his letters are more of the same, he says he misses home and wants to come home, I try to keep positive for him but it is killing me. I told him that this chapter is almost over and he will have access to his phone and computer soon so he could call me anytime.

Its hard when they are so upset and we only get a few minutes to talk then have to wait days for a letter to hear how they are. I just keep reminding him why he signed up in the first place.

Didn't get a call :( Hope he didnt lose his phone card! I swear, my cell phone and I have been attched at the hip! Was at the supermarket checkout and my phone rang....just started dumping my purse on the conveyer belt to find it! I just looked at the people and said Navy Boot Camp. They laughed.

My SR said the division 368 is a good one he likes all the guys. He was crying when he heard my voice but quickly recovered didn't expect to miss me like he does. Never heard him like that :( I write every day but he asked for more said they can't get enough mail!!

That's good you heard from your son. I'm on pins and needles. Haven't heard from my son yet. I'm glad that DIV 368 is a good one. My son is in that division too. :-)

OK, I did find out more information on this discussion, sick that I missed my son's calls yesterday, but it was nice to read some about his division!! Thanks!! Miss him so very much, do you think there would be anyway he could try to call again today, since he didn't get to talk to anyone??
