Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 369 and 370

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Anyone else get a letter today?  We did (it was actually about 8 separate letters in the one envelope).  His biggest complaint is how much trouble their division is getting in.  He said someone threw a water bottle at another person, and they all got IT?  He knows that the extra IT is good for him, but they could have easily avoided it. Oh, well...just so glad I heard from him today!

Got a short call today, but since we weren't expecting it (He'd said two weeks last week) it was welcome! :-) Anyone else?

My son's girlfriend got the call today. All is well with him and I hope with your SR too.

Yes, he sounded more upbeat, they must be settling in (I hope!).

Good afternoon everyone.  When I was on the phone yesterday I did ask my SR if they have started to not get in as much trouble.  He said it is hit & miss.  They had IT again on Sat, I asked if they  had to just do push-ups he said that and a lot more, but would elaborate.  I think the ones that keep acting up have the wonderful opportunity of bathroom cleaning duties.  They did start working on their division flag earlier on Sun before they got to call everyone.  He said is was a possibility, not a guarantee that they may get to call again on Tues but if they do that would probably be the last call until I am a Sailor call.  Since they are behind the other divisions on training they don't start BS21 until Wed afternoon.  They will finish on Thurs and then be able to call us.  I told him that was cutting it really close and that I would already be there on Thurs - so he HAD to make sure he passed.  They are getting their "Cracker Jacks" today, this is the last uniform they will be getting.  Mine also had to get his bottom wisdom teeth out, he said the days in SIQ were wonderful just to rest a little bit.I will say that he did sound a lot more upbeat this time.  He said he didn't use good time management on Sunday so his letters were short; I just couldn't believe I was hearing the words "time management" from my son.  I don't think that was even in his vocabulary.  The funniest thing he told me is that he feels like he in the move "Groundhog  Day"  I thought that was so funny.  He said he never thought he would be waking up and automatically making his bed (I never saw it at home for 18 yrs).  Our SR are going through a lot of changes and I know I'm going to have a hard time adjusting to the new person/sailor that he will become.  Like everyone says they leave as our "kids" and come back Sailors and mature.

I hope everyone got a call yesterday and if you didn't I'm sorry.  He forgot to take everyone's phone #'s with him and he only knew mine by memory, so I was the lucky one :)

Good to know re: BS21 as we will already be there as well.  My SR also sounded more upbeat; maybe it's because the poor behavior is more "hit and miss" than the constant it was before. Fingers crossed, it's moving in the right direction.

As for IT/ITE, I found a video on youtube that a sailor posted that demonstrates the exercises for the intensive sessions HERE . It seems he is continuing with the IT cards as a form of fitness maintenance.

My SR sounded better on Tuesday when I received his call...still misses home, but that is expected, as we are close family here.   He said the Division was doing well, earned a Scholastic Flag.   I did not hear about when BS21 would take place, or when he would get an opportunity to call.   Then If I got a call on Tuesday...you are saying it will be about 4 weeks before we get a call, and that's the "I'm a Sailor Call".   I will already be there...So yes, I am confident that my SR better pass..:)    Really, he said the Division was doing good....I had also heard that those were pretty much rumors..and that as a whole the Division was doing good  370 that is.   I heard from a 369 Mom that they were doing well too.    My son was always organized as far as making his bed...he was a very structured person...everything in order, because he was a collector....Altho there were areas he lacked discipline in, as he threw everything under the bed..:)    It's been a hard month for this set of "empty nesters"....but time has to move forward....I miss my SR, more than anything.

Is anyone here from California, with a SR named Alexander? My husband said he's friends with him...

How are all the parents doing of Div 369 and 370 ????? Any great news to share from letters mailed home ?

Mailman hasn't come yet....grrr - ha!

EWWWWWWWWWWW. Not good : (

What happened? My son is having a hard time as well. He is in division 370
