Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 339 and 340

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Congratulations! I am happy for you and your Daughter. Is she in my sons div 340?

Thanks, Yes she's in Div 340

Congratulations KaylaMom!!  What an awesome letter and news!  You should be extremely proud!!  Will you be at the Meet and Greet Thurs evening?  Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Thanks. Yes I plan to be there at the meet and greet. I will be leaving from NJ by car early Thurs. morning.

Hi Where and What time is the meet and greet?

Sarges MeetandGreet is held for families/friends of the graduating sailors the night before PIR.  No sailors will be there. Here is his link with the info and place to RSVP:

That is WONDEFUL! Congratulations for bringing up such an outstanding daughter!!!

Hi All! So does anyone know how long before PIR the I Am A Sailor calls come?

According to the information I have read -- the "I'm a Sailor" calls usually start around 2 pm GL time, but sometimes
start later.  BS is a 12 hour drill test that runs all night and into the early morning -- so the calls will come in later that afternoon.  I'm still waiting to hear from my SR as to the "date" they are expected to run BS.  If anyone receives this info -- please private message me the date (so we're in compliance with OPSEC) -- and I'll do the same for everyone else if I find out.  :)

9 MORE DAYS!!!

Yes, the I'm a Sailor calls can start as early as 2 pm....but many times will start later.  Phones glued to you all day!  Some divisions in this PIR group will start receiving their I'm a Sailor calls tomorrow afternoon (not these divisions).  You all will be last to go through and can expect your calls next week!

This is going to be the longest week / weekend EVER!  Going to be so happy to hear the excitement and joy from everyone else -- but I'm going to feel like the kid sitting on the bench waiting to play too.  :)   Pick me coach -- pick me!!  LOL

Yes.....I can't help the jealous twinge creeping through....I try, but thank goodness for you guys. Not hearing from my son is typical, but frustrating. Not knowing what they are doing, and hearing no official confirmation on BST dates is just driving me nuts!!!!! I just have to assume that if I ave not heard from him he has passed everything! And thanks to KaylaMom, we know that not all of our division news is the doom & gloom that we have been fed by our male SRs!!!!!
I just wish I knew that the tests had all gone OK, PFAs have been passed, and even though we don't get the calls and emails the others will be getting, that it s just a matter of time!!!
I seem to remember someone saying that their final PFA was today - does anyone remember that? I need to look back in our group!
Well, we have each other & should take advantage of that - it is going to be hard seeing the posts & celebrating for others while worrying about out own :)
