You are very welcome.

My son left for boot camp on the 22nd. Received the call about 10pm on the 23rd stating he is there. He left from California.
Same here, my son left on the 22nd from California, we got the very short call about 10:30 our time.
Hi

my son also left on august 21. we went to see him swear in, my parents also came with. we live about 20-25 minutes away from O'Hare air port, so the drive to meps was only about 30 min. I wanted to stay with him for as long as I could before he left meps, but I saw how much my daughter was missing her brother. so I gave him a big hug, as did everybody else, told him he will do a great job and that I love him. I got my very short call at about 9pm and I hope he didn't hear me cry a bit. his pir should be around the time that he turns 23, and i'm already counting down the days till I see him again.

Good luck :-)

Thinking of you diane.  Watching my son take the oath and then later get on the van to go to the airport is one of the most difficult, proud, and tender moments I have ever experienced.  With you in the waiting....
