The Page, 800 and 900 Divisions, within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will be of interest to you since you have a recruit in a performing division. I believe that Division 949 is Ship Staff/Honor Guard.

He has the typical 9 Fridays, but since he arrived on a Wednesday, others arriving the same day may have PIR a week later. See Arrival and What Happensa t the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones).

my son left on aug 21 and we got the box 2 days later, but still no letter. we live here in Illinois no more than 2 hours away. it's killing me that I have no letter yet. every day I run to the mail box when I see the poor mail man, he thinks I've gone crazy, and I check to see if I have the letter. I hope he is doing fine, I just worry that he is sick or something. I hope that I get the letter tomorrow. we went by his recruiter to drop some books off and he gave me my sons address, but I don't know if it is the correct one. he said my son is in ship 3, div 401.

He may have just finished P-days and would have mailed the form letter yesterday or today. With that Division number, PIR is most likely 10/25/2013. Be patient; you will be getting the form letter soon.

lemonelephant, do we wait for the first person with PIR 10-25 to get their form letter and then a group is formed for that date?  I can't wait to check the mail today, so excited!

Someone wrote that they did not know there son needed a phone card, I did not know that either, do they need one to call?

Several received form letters today and the group is up for PIR 10/25/2013 TG 50, which begins with Division 399 and contains Division 950.

Yes, your SR needs a phone card to make calls. He will get one in his ditty bag, but you can send him an activated one and/or cards from http://callsforrecruits.org/. See Phone Cards and Phone Calls.

My son left for BC on August 21, as well. Its been the longest week of my life. How are you holding up?

I am a very happy mom today. I got the letter just a little while ago with my son's address and pir date. he is in ship 3 div 401 and pir is oct 25. that is only 2 days after his birthday. I am going to start writing letters.

Hello, I am new to this website and not sure if I am doing things correctly!?! I just received my son's form letter...so HAPPY I received his address, but sad :(   the area where his PIR date should be is blank!!! What does  that mean??? Any helpful information would be greatly appreciated...thank you in advance :)

What is the Division number? You aren't the only one that happened to.

Division 399

Division 399 has PIR on 10/25/2013. Join the group, PIR 10/25/2013 TG 50.
