Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 345 and 346

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My SR's letter referred to it, but would like to confirm.  How do we find out???

I received a questionnaire back from my son!  He didn't put it in the priority envelope I paid $5.60 for him to send his mail back in...he mailed it separately with a stamp!  Oh, well, at least I'm thankful to hear something. He is still the Port Watch Section Leader, did great on test #2 (whatever that is?) and was very proud to get an expert in 9mm shooting.  More shooting on Mon. (8/26) and ID cards.  "Since we did so well on our drill inspection, our 2nd RDC is teaching us trick drill."  Also getting 3rd haircut this week.  He said their Grad photos were taken on 8/21, but they hadn't been given the opportunity to buy them yet.

I hope everyone gets letters!  Please share the info with all of us!

Hello all. Just found this site thanks to my daughter and suggestions from her fellow SR's...Daughter is in Ship 11 Div 345 and would be MORe than grateful to hear from others of the same.

Welcome!  There is so much great information on this site.  Try to read as much as you can.  My son is in Div 346 and they train with Div 345.  There are also groups for A school, so check those out as well.

Welcome Sue 2337! My daughter is in 11/345! I know a couple of the other moms as well but not that many of us are on, I guess they just haven't found this site yet. I feel so badly for them because I know what a tremendous help it has been to me to be able to connect a little bit and hear what is going on from their SRs perspective. How does your daughter seem to be doing? Yes, Div 345 and 346 train together so they have gotten to know one another as well.

Hi ladies.  My daughter is also on 11/345.  My daughter is also going to A school in Great Lakes as well. I can't wait to see all the girls. We are from Texas.  Would love to meet some of you at graduation.  I am still planning of 9/13 but she just got word there is a possibility that her graduation might be delayed due to missing out of some things while on light duty at different times.  Like a strained quad and a couple of dental surgeries - things out of her control.  She said that she did not miss any mandatory things but still it might postpone things.  I am hoping not.

Hoping for all to work out for the 13th. I know you are anxious to see her!  Prayers and hugs being sent your way.

Hi mrsruth1986,

How are things with your daughter, any word? I hope that she was able to complete what she needed to complete. I am sure they want that for her as well, they want them to be able to PIR with their division!

Thanks Lindsaysproudmom(Ship11 Div 345).  Can't wait to meet you. I am banking on "no news is good news."  I have not had a call stating she isn't making it.  No phone call yet.  WIth that I am still holding on to hope.  Now we waited to hear or not hear and now flights are through the roof!  But will get there what ever it takes.  I just can't wait to give her a big hug for all her efforts and courage.

mrsruth, prayers and hugs from this Div 346 mom, too!  According to my son's letter (rec'd yesterday), they should have had all their final tests and inspections as of yesterday (Thurs.).  Just the big BS still to go!

Okay, ladies, finally figuring this site out.  Go figure..took me to the end..lol.  Just got off phone with daughter.  Sounded WONDERFUL.. They got special phone priviliges because of getting some award and "something".  She was talking so fast, and I was trying to garner so much information, plus I was just so excited to hear from her, that I dont remember a darn thing, other than she sounded fantastic.  Just registered for Sarges Meet and Greet, so we will be there.  Look forward to meeting both of you.

Rec'd letter last night -- this one was longer than he normally writes (he only1/2 page.  He wrote it Sunday and says 19days -- they can't believe it!

He said they are at the best part of their training and they flagged their inspections (I guess it means they passed).  They now get to do independent drilling.  Their last inspection will be their dress and dress drill and they got their ID's.  He said the downside is they are getting another shot this week.

That there time is starting to go faster and faster and they are counting down the days -- he said they don't have their orders yet, so don't plan too much.  This letter sounded so much better than the earlier ones and he said they are all getting excited now  -- 14 days to go

On the upside -- I was at the Cowboys game last night and they did a tribute to the military -- Their military person of the Game was a Boatswain's Hand from the Navy -- they showed him during the Star Spangled Banner and again during the game -- This Mom teared up thinking this will be our children standing their in 2 weeks -- The Pride was insurmountable
