My Son leaves for BC September 30th, he is graduating high school in 2 weeks so we have been busy with getting this Big Acheivement and I have had many mommy moments already regarding this big event in his life, how is my boy already graduating high school... but i know once graduation is here and gone, then begins the count down to bc, trying to squeeze in as much time as i can, doing as much as we can with him before he goes, I am so proud of him, and i am excited for the experiences he will have with this journey in his new young adult life, but so hard to let my boy out into the world with out mommy close behind to field the bad and protect him from the world ...... its hard to let go, i cry at night and try not to do it infront of him so he doesnt feel bad about making mommy sad, i just cant imagine what life will be like around here without him, im sure i will be on here alot more now that time is getting closer
it helps to read that i am not the only one who feels this way and to get as much information as i can to be as prepared as i can be when the day gets here,

Hi Lisa,
My son will be leaving in 17 days. He says he is getting antsy. He's ready to go. I'm not so sad to date, I'm incredibly excited for him. I encouraged him to make this decision as did others in his life.
Time seems to fly and his PIR will be approaching and you will be making the travel arrangements to Great Lakes. I'm looking forward to my son's PIR when he will be a sailor ready for duty.
