You should be getting the box of stuff any day now... And contact I can't really say I spoke to my husband 3-4 times the entire bootcamp some got 1-2 calls others got more. But letters and address I believe come around week 2. Hang in there I promise it gets easier. I've seen my husband a total of a week in a half in the last year. I won't see him for 3-4 months and then he'll be gone again for a year.

Thank u soo much!!!! for the info...and wow thats crazy!!! thats such a long time wats his career in the navy??

Well our current time apart is voluntary, he's been stationed in Virginia this time we've been apart & i came back home to start my career so that i have one when he gets out of the navy next year. His rate is a Master at Arms. He's never been on a deployment, he's had shore duty with the same command for 3.5 years but at the end of the year he will be going to Bahrain for a one year unaccompanied tour.

sounds like ur busy ..wat r u going to school for?? ..but atleast hes almost out! ..so that means u cant go wit him to tour right?? thats is long!! nd thank u.

I'm going to school for business administration. And yes and his year unaccompanied will be him alone, I can't move there but I CAN visit

thats good :) ..nd on the bright side hes almost out :)

My hubby is in boot camp right now as well. He went in on 8/7 (a Wednesday), and I got the box about a week later, then the form letter (which gives you his address and graduation date/info) that Saturday - the 18th. He didn't call until the next Saturday (the 24th) but it was AMAZING when I got to talk to him. Then I received my first personal letter from him that Wednesday (the 28th). And I got to talk to him on the phone again on Sunday (the 1st), but not for as long. Now I'm looking forward to my next letter(s) that he sent this week! :) They get to send their letters out every Monday once they are allowed to. Everyone is different though - this is just my experience so far.

Try not to worry about him - no news is good news! He is probably missing you like crazy already - write him as much as you can (even though you can't send any letters yet)! And send him pictures of you too (no dirty ones though). I know it's SUPER hard not hearing anything or knowing what's happening, and I'm sure you are missing him like crazy! Hang in there and stay positive and busy! You will start hearing from him soon. :)

Thank u Ur really helpful!!!..i have a question to that im not to sure idk if u want to take a stab at this lol but if hes going to c school for 19 wks can i go wit him?? cus hes been getting yes nd no from diff ppl like his recruiters...thank u once again for opening up wit ur story!! :D Nd i kno its really is soo hard i was never not away from him not even a day lol we meet in kindergarden!!

I believe for you to move with him for his schooling it has to be more than 6 months. If it's less then that time no you cannot live with him.

I personally don't know the answer to that one... sorry! :( The people on this website really know a LOT - keep looking and asking around is my advice. I've found out more accurate info from people here, than from his recruiters. My hubby's training after boot camp is only 9 weeks (in Great Lakes), so I won't be moving until he is done with that. I feel like a sissy whining about 9 weeks...lol. I hope you'll get to visit him some at least, if they don't allow you to move there! My hubby told me he wants me to fly out to see him every weekend while he is in training (I am currently in CA)! And he was not joking! lol. As much as it's hard for us to be apart from them, it's just as hard for them to be apart from us. That's so cool that you've known each other since kindergarten!! :) I hope you get some contact and answers soon! :)

thanks :D nd i was reading nd gathering more info about dat nd the total for him is 7 or 8 months im like i cant live w/out my hubby for soo long lol ..so i am really upset today!! nd every day i check the mail box like 3 times a days!! nd theres still nothing SUCKS really bad!! ..nd he does awww dats sweet thou nd .thank u ..nd i kno it sure is :)

I know what you are feeling... and the mail man is my favorite person to see everyday! He has a stalker.... ;) I'm sure you'll get something soon!!! I just got my letters for this week - mail didn't go out until Tuesday this week cause of Labor day, so things might be a bit delayed. You WILL get something though! And you WILL get to hear from him (eventually) and you WILL get to see him (eventually). I don't know why, but thinking like that helps me. Haha. It all does have an end. :)
