Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 946

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

The comments on the main 9/27 PIR show the 300 Div seem to be getting phone calls today. It was a blessing to hear from our SR last week. Sure would have like a call, but know their busy.  Less than 6 weeks ladies! Can't come soon enough! Praying this Div is working together and none get the crud. So excited to see what they can accomplish!

Just received our first letter: Division is down to 83 as of 8/18, many released for medical reasons. SR annoyed that others are not giving their best. Hoping they will shape up soon, as it reflects on the whole division. He states they could have had 2 calls last week: Sat and Sun, but Sat was cancelled because of someone's ego trip and then Sunday call was limited time. He wrote their division failed their weekly inspection, but Chief was fairly pleased by the results this early on in training. 3 of the 6 section leaders have been replaced. He stated they were just randomly chosen on the first day-tallest guys seem to have been picked - and to think he just wanted to blend in. God had other plans!!  He loves the food -seems to be eating a ton. States for breakfast, he eats the entree, 2 sides and takes 4-6 slices of bread to make pb&j sandwiches. It was so good to read his words, but it brought out so much emotions. So looking forward to giving him a big hug!! Thanks for all your support!!

When was the letter postmarked?

No postmark date, but Sunday 8/18 was the last date he wrote something. On Sunday's short phone call he stated they get to mail out letters only on Sundays - which I think would mean they were probably mailed on Monday from IL. We live in WI.

ok thank you! I don't think I will be getting anything today, I'm all the way out in Texas. Praying for tomorrow!!

Mail day!!! Loved reading his words!! Seems that things are settling down a bit and getting more in routine. He is trying to stay positive and motivate others to do the same. He stated the Navy Ceremonial Guard came and had auditions. 2 guys got picked up and are heading to Washington DC after bootcamp. Way to go 02/946!!!

Hi friends, just had a nearly 1 hour phone call from my SR. Wanted you to know that they're doing well as a group and division and expect to continue strong and be successful and make lots of my phone calls! In the middle of hell week. More shots coming up this next week. Their first graduation to perform in will be the week after this. The phone call was a great blessing!

Good Morning,

Is there any word of liberty after PIR graduation on 9/27/2013 for the SRs?

Have a great day!

How ya all doing? I can't believe it is only 20 days!  From the phone call and letters this week, it sounds like there doing great. A 4.8 inspection score last week. Way to go 02/946! My SR says to keep the letters coming and really likes when I send pictures.

I can't wait until 9/27!!!  I'm getting so excited I bet the boys in the division are also.  We had a nice call on Sunday from our SR.  Doing great and really likes the guys in the division.  This week is firefighting training and more inspections.  Good luck 02/946!

We received our SR's letter today. He was pumped that as of Sunday their division was the best in their training group and may be able to win the Hall of Fame Division flag. It all depended on how they scored on their inspection (last Tuesday). So hoping they were able to come together and be rewarded for all their hard work.  Way to go 02/946

WOOHOO!!  Thanks for posting this...I've been wondering.  No call or letter this week from our SR.  Way to go 02/946.  I can't wait until next Friday!!
