Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

what can my future sailor recieve in boot camp
My Son leaves for boot camp on tues Sept 17th.. What can he recieve while there? Can he get care packages/mail? We are having an Anchors Aweigh party for him Sat. with a donation box set up for things people would like to send him, phone cards, toiletries etc..What are good ideas to send him, as a lot of people are asking what to get him..

Only letters during boot camp, no care packages. I sent my son article on our local football team and it was taken from him. Pictures of family might be OK but I never sent any to my son cause he said he had such limited space to store things. No toiletries are needed the Navy will supply him with all he needs and everything else will be sent back.

Cards are OK tho. Send inspiring and funny ones to keep spirits up. Always be upbeat and tell him how proud of him you are.

As you can see in your responses, SRs cannot receive anything other than letters. If an article or picture is included please take care that it could be shared with the whole division, the last thing you son will want during boot is to be singled out. You might consider getting some blank note cards for your son's party and having your guests write a note of encouragement. Boot camp is hard on the family but it can also be difficult on the SRs. Best wishes to your family and your son on your journey....

Thank you. I actually did get stamped post cards & also stuffed some envelopes with 2 small sheets of paper & a self addressed envelope. I am asking that people write him a little note, a funny memory, whatever & place it in the envelope. I will then pull a few a week & send them out to him so he always has mail. When he opens it, he will already have a small sheet of paper to respond if he has the time and the enclosed envelope is already addressed & stamped for him.
