Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 395 and 396

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

The U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command FB page posted random photos of recruits today be sure and check to see if your Sailor is on there. I did not see Wyatt (Ship11Div396) so I was wondering if 395 or 396 are in those pics so please let me know if you see your Sailor. Thanks. I hope everybody is doing well & keeping their spirits up.... :)

I didn't see my SR in any of the picture.

I didn't see Colt in any photo . I miss him so much and I hope I get a letter very soon

I got a few letters from my daughter yesterday. She writes that Div 395 has been getting a lot of IT (intensive training). The RDC's are "very dedicated and are drill fanatics".  They were supposed to take a big academic test this week, hopefully all did well. According to her letter, as of Sunday Sept 8, they were on week 1, day 4 hold. 1-5 was on Monday and 2-1 on Tuesday. I guess as of today, they should be on 2-4. She will be going to A school in Biloxi for AG and she found 2 other recruits that also signed up for AG. The division is coming together and hopefully they won't get in trouble as often as they were.

My son is also in division 395.  He said they are doing well.  10 people dropped out after the swimming test.  But him and his bunk mate are the oldest 20 and 24.  They didn't get started for a whole week.  Keep up the good work 395.

Is your son 24? Do you know the name of his bunk mate? Sounds like it might be my fiance.  My fiance is in ship 11 div. 395 also

Was wondering when I might get a normal phone call from my son. He is on ship 11 Div 396. I noticed that other parents with recruits on this ship and division received calls last weekend. I'm very anxious to hear his voice. I was fortunate enough, however, to see a pic of him on the U. S. Navy Recruit Training Command website random photos and for that I am very grateful. Just want to hear his voice.

my son on same ship and division,  do you know if need t make reservations for the meet and greet

We received a call last Saturday for 5 minutes, he didn't have long since they were going to some training session and said he had to wait his turn for an available phone to call.  Which pic is your son in?  I've looked over the pics several times and didn't see my son, might need to look again.

Picture 4 of 7 is a great picture of the Division. Good Luck in finding your SR.

Call are coming from 395.  Just spoke with my son.

Stay by the phone calls are coming from 396.  Just got a 10 minutes phone call.  What a treat to hear his voice.
