Maybe I made read your post wrong, but... in my opinion, your decision to marry is between you and your boyfriend. As far as what happens with the Navy, is a question for after you've decided if you want to spend the rest of your life with him. In other words you should know that you want to marry him regardless of where life is taking you. (At least this is my own experience.)

If you both decide to get married, then the ladies here can help you figure out what the proper protocol is before the marriage, how to find housing, getting your own ID, and any other questions you may have. :)

lol , excuse my wording .. we will be getting married. my main concern was being prepared or abreast on what I need to do, I just don't want to be a deer in headlights .

Hi Sarah! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Good for you for wanting to get educated about Navy life before you dive into it.  The Navy has created an online class for new Navy spouses that will answer a lot of your questions; there is even a glossary of common Navy terms so you can begin to understand the language that your sailor is using. You can access it here:http://learning.zeiders.refineddata.com/course/view.php?id=4502

Hope this helps. Welcome to the club!

Thank you I will be sure to check it out :P

Yes i agree and thank you.... Do you know where u will be stationed
Just love each other no matter what and be willing to go anywhere and do anything to be with him, like courtneya said. If you have that and trust, the rest will just be like things that come up in normal life. You'll get through it together. And sometimes you'll get through it together even when you're apart. Other than that, we've already gotten to do some exciting things and still don't have orders yet. I think my biggest thing is just that the work hours are a little crazy and not as scheduled. (idk if that will be different when he's in the fleet, but I doubt it.) I have been doing most of the cleaning lately, but I'm also only working part time. He started helping a bit once school started up again though. My bestfriend (a marine wife) always tells me to "remember that things are constantly changing" basically, that anything I'm frustrated with now will be completely different in a month or two or 6 so don't worry. But it's the same for the happy stuff, so enjoy things while they last. It can be a weird life sometime, but it's worth it if you really love that person. Good luck and congrats!
