Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 417 and 418

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Brother divisions train together, where one goes so does the other. They will train together through BS.

OH, good to know:) Thank you.

Off, tbe subject, but I just received a phone call from one of my son's shipmates, the young man who for the life of me, I can not remember his name, wanted me to know that, my son would be calling me on Monday, because he was in bed today, for the removal of his wisdom teeth. So I'm thinking these two divisions wil be calling home this weekend? Wishing you all a great weekend, and praying you all hear from your future Sailors. Was not able to speak mine, but spoke to someone's. God BLESS them all.

I hope your son feels better. Mine was suppose to get his removed yesterday but doing it Monday instead. he did say that these 2 divisions are getting coming together as a group and they are bonding....

My husband just called :) Div 417. Sounded really happy. He got about 30 minutes to talk. It was great to hear from him! Such a weight off my shoulders knowing he's doing fine and it's all coming along well! :)

YAY KEB!!

Super Cute Bunny Waving

3rd week into

bootcamp for my son...Hes doing ok, just can't wait til he doesn't have to fold any more cloths!!!!  He didn't even do that at home!!!

Your son will learn very quickly why it is important to learn to fold clothes, and he will be folding for the rest of his Navy career.

The first time he has to move, and move only with 1 seabag, a garment bag, his backpack and possibly a small "carry on" type bag he will be grateful for all the folding.

ROFLMAO

My son was packing for Japan and I was amazed, what he got into his seabag, garment bag, backpack and duffel was more than I could get in six large suitcases and he carried all 130lbs of stuff.

This is what he packed, from what I remember, I was amazed and told him if I ever go on vacation he has to come home and pack for me.

Dress Blues, Dress Whites x2, Cammies x4, Peanut Butters x3, two extra PB shirts, Blue Coveralls x2, Parka w/lining, Pea Coat, Trenchcoat w/lining, all weather jacket w/lining. Dress shoes, boots, pt shoes, 3 pant belts, glow belt, white safety belt, 10 white t-shirts, 10 navy blue t-shirts, 10 pair underwear, 20 pairs of socks, three knit caps, three pair gloves, dress neck scarf, two dixie cups, two garrison caps, two cammi hats, two winter scarfs, four civie t-shirt, two pair of jeans. His laptop, xbox, toiletries, paperwork, navy manual, and whatever else he had. LOL

The folding will come in very handy in a few short months. :)
