Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 393 and 394

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hello-my son's in 393 also. I haven't heard him mention Asia Man. Are you going to PIR?

Hi,

My grandson is in 09/393. His name is JH (name edited to initials). Do you know anything about him. We have had only a few letters and 2 phone calls and have not heard from him in a couple of weeks. We are looking forward to graduation this friday.

Yes we are going to be staying at the Holiday Inn. Do you know if they did battle stations yet?

Anybody heard anymore from our kiddos??  I know they should be coming up on the "gas" chamber soon!!!

ugh!  gas chamber, do you know when they are expected to do this?  (ship 09/div 394) I hope they ALL do well..

me too - I don't have any idea where they actually are in training - I am googling the schedules and asking my older son what he remembers - so don't quote me.  I did get a letter from my boy - but it was talking about him having to be on Light duty because of shin pains - he didn't say anything about what they are doing now.

I just found out that my older son who has been in the Navy for 2 years was approved special liberty from his school in CA to attend his brothers PIR!!!   OMG  I am beside myself!!  To have both boys in my arms, to have the older brother think enough to want to honor the younger and take the time and money to do it.  GOD I'M A PROUD MOM

Wow, that will be awesome to have both boys at PIR.  Your SR will be thrilled when he finds out his brother will be there!

Have not heard anything much from our group.  I wondered if anyone got a letter telling them exactly what training day 393 or 394 are on.  (mines 394)

AWL!!that is awesome..

Did 393 and 394 just finish hell week with weapons training or was it week five? 2sonnavy mentioned they have the "gas" chamber coming up.  That's training week 6 with firefighting isn't it?  I know the divisions are all on different training days since they can't all be doing the same thing at the same time and some will go through battle stations earlier than others.

if you hear from your SR soon regarding the gas chambers, will you let us know how it went for them all?

My SR advised in a letter this week that he must return to barracks by 9pm the night of graduation, and will then be bussed to O'Hare around midnight, where we can meet him. He's in 9/393 and going to SC for A School. Is this the same info you're getting Cindisue?
