Hi tidefan! I received my call around the same time. I wonder if any of our kids are together in the same division? I guess we will know when we get their addresses! Hang in there and if you run out of things to clean, you're welcome to come to my house! :)

you can come help. House work has been placed on hold while he was still home. Now trying to catch up

Hi Gagesmom, yes I did. I got it! :) You will see a # next to your inbox on the right (under your user name) when you have a message.

My son left from Boise on Sep 24th.  I an new to forums, boards, discussions so forgive me.  I have just been reading posts for hours and have found some peace knowing that others feels the same.  Thanks to everyone for sharing.

My son also left on the 24th from Boston, any other moms out there from the Boston area?  Got the "Kid in a Box" today. It was really tough seeing all his personal belongings.  Last time I talked to him he had just arrived in GL and sounded really good.

HI Ladies... I just read through all these messages and Im glad I am not alone and we all have each other so My son left 9/26 got my phone call at 12:27am he sounded good tired but good , it seems those of you that sons left on the 24th got your boxes fairly soon so I am hoping I get mine this week ... How is everyone holdin up? I am staying busy but i break out in tears very easily still .....

It's just been a week. Does anyone else feel like it's been longer? What a blessing it is to have this site and other moms to help us trough.

Has anyone made or ordered Blue Star Flags. I think this will be my next 'keeping busy' project.

Have a good week!

Yes, It has seemed longer!  I'm thinking that it should speed up once we know they've made it through the first week and make their journey across to their ships.  I hadn't ever heard of the blue star flags before.  I've opened the link, but I'm waiting until tomorrow to look through it.  It's late here.  Hang on...one week at a time!

My daughter left on the 24 also. She is going for dc and is so psyched about the Navy and her future. Sure made us proud. We are in Alaska.

Wow Sonia, Alaska. Are you going to be able to come all the way for graduation? Do you know Ship and division yet?

Good Morning. No, as of Tues. Oct 1 I know nothing, ha. Haven't been to the p.o. yet and may not get into town for a couple of days, but I have hope there will be something there when I do. We do plan on going to graduation, God willing. We went to our other daughter's graduation last December in New Jersey from the Coast Guard. She is hoping to come to her sister's event also. You planning on attending?

Yes I will attend. I am working an extra job to save the money. I am only coming from North Texas though. I got my letter yesterday. Ship 11 div 013. I'm sure yours will be there shortly. You have adventurous girls!
