DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 950

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

It depends on their rating or job in the Navy. My son will be going to Groton, Connecticut for sub school and A school for machinist mate. All the guys going to submarine service will be in Groton.

Vikingmom - where the SRs go for A school after PIR is dependent upon their "job". My son is going into intelligence, and the A school, and C school, are both in Dam Neck VA.
GGCmom that's it! My son is intelligence as well. When he said it, I didn't realize he was saying Dam Neck. Lol. No wonder I was confused. Are you connected for something thee as well for info?

Looks like someones mom from this division won the Tuesday Trivia contestm so there will be a picture posted of your division on the RTC FB page sometime this afternoon. :) I will bring it over here when it is posted.

Thanks ellen0502!  Really looking forward to seeing the picture!

I got a quick 1 minute call from my SR!!!  He needed more info for his security clearance.  It was so good to hear his very tired voice!

ellen0502 did you ever see the pic of the division? I can't find it? Can you help me?
It's still not up. I've been stalking the page waiting and nothing
I got my first real letter today. It about broke my heart it started off "hope everything continues to go well at home. Miss every single one of you!!!" Yep. That brought on the tears. Went On to talk about having his wisdom teeth out and how he has a test this week and he ghastly to study for them.

He answered some of my questions that I had gotten from that hints on the website. His favorite food there is yogurt with berries and the one he misses the most from home is our popcorn.
Glad you got your letter and things seem to be going well. We are almost halfway through
Vikingmom - getting the letter from your SR had to be wonderful! I can imagine the bittersweetness of it, but I'm sure it made your day anyway. I'm still waiting for mine, it just takes forever for mail in New York!, hopefully, tomorrow!
The Div 952 pic is up on fb!!! What an awesome looking groupmofnyoung men. I'm so proud that my son is a part of it. I also got my first letter today! He said he's doing well, has no regrets and is eating healthy?
