Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 423 and 424

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Wow...lots of birthdays that day! :)

My son will turn 18 on their PIR of Nov 8th :)

Ex girlfriend mailed me about a week ago USS Triton Ship 12 DIV 423!!! she's taking it a little rough though but she's a tough cookie i know she can make it through!!!

She is sister division to my son ship 12 div 424!  Are you going to PIR?

Tomorrow is Weds, I should be getting a letter from my daughter! I won't be able to attend her PIR as I was hoping, very sad. But her father and 2 younger sisters will be there. I hope her next letter is more uplifting. Her first letter was short, and she was sad and cold at night. I've talked to her since that first letter so I know she's ok. I miss her like crazy! But I'm excited to hear more about how things are really going for her!

I, too, should get a letter tomorrow. I'm hoping for one! I posted on one of the pages (can't keep them straight) that my daughter lost her rate of Aircrew. Her red blood cell count was too low. She's meeting with a counselor this week to pick a new rate. I wish I could be there to ask questions and help guide her to a new choice. Guess that's part of growing up. I realize she won't have picked a new rate to tell us in this letter, but I'm looking forward to hearing about everything that's going on. She had a great inspection last Thursday, no hits. So that's a bit of good news!

I hope she is able to pick something she will love! My daughter will be an HM and wants to stay with the medical part like emergency medical. Possibly FMF, which scares me! She would be very upset if they tried to make her become something like a dental assistant. She did tell me that she choose medical not dental so I hope that doesn't change for her. Let us know what your SR chooses and how she is doing :)

I had to use he Navy Speak helper to get the HM acronym :)  She mentioned possibly Corpsman on the phone but both her dad and I didn't get that one. She's never been interested in the medical/dental field before. Guess it'll be a surprise, and whatever she chooses I'll let you know. Thanks for your support!

Can't wait to get home and check the mailbox! And I heard something about possible phone calls tonight?

I am so glad i found all of you..yay..My daughter is also in Ship 12 Div 423..She called on Saturday and sounded great..She said the toughest part was living with 80 other girls..I suppose a little drama maybe? She did mention she would be calling on Wednesday (tomorrow) not sure how she knew that??..She will also be going to Texas for "A" school as some of you have mentioned..I am so excited to what the future holds for our kids..Would like to add some of you on Facebook so its easier to chat and share stories/information etc..

I did forget to ask her who her Rack partner was? Hopefully I will remember and we will become friends :)

My daughter is div 423 also going to Texas. She was dreading the girl drama thing herself and said surprisingly she could make friends with most in her division! I hope we all get calls tomorrow. My SR didn't say anything about Weds, but she said they new days before that they could call on Sat. Not that she was able to give us a heads up, lol.

Welcome Kayla'smom! What's your SR's rate?

MA..she will be headed to San Antonio TX for "A" school after PIR
