Just because the government shut down doesn't mean us Navy Moms Navy Dads, Grandparent's, Girl friends Boy friends, Husbands and Wives.. should do the same. Anyone that would like to put together a basket filled with items from your home state to represent your home state or items you have crafted, baked or borrowed and forgot to return to the neighbor that moved. You can bring it to the Meet and Greet and have it raffled off. With all the proceeds going to Sarge and his wife. They provide and purchase the food, nothing is donated. Sarge will also make a donation to cards for recruits with money raised from the raffle. Pay it forward, Pay it forward. The basket can represent your home state. We can have many different baskets with many different things in them. Sports items, Challenge Coins. Blue Candles. The possibilities are endless. Each raffle ticket will be $ 5.00 or 5 for $ 20.00. Really it is what ever you want to bring and there is a dollar store and a Walmart right across the street for people to buy baskets if flying in. You can use gift bags and even buckets. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Thank you. Time to have some fun.

Awesome idea!! Past PIR groups have done state gift baskets and have really blessed Sarge and his wife immensely. Also, it was great fun to see what people put in their baskets and for the winners to see the goodies that they won~~
By the way, what will be the value of the items per gift basket? Past baskets have had a value of $25 - $30?
There is no price limit on the on the baskets. Its what you can afford, be creative. If your state is being represented already, Its okay to have more then 1 from each state. People have different perspectives on where they live in each state. Or possible your a Craftier, Baker, Memory Maker, or a Woodsmen. Show off your talents. It doesn't have to be state related it just needs to be fun. Who knows you might be able to pick up a Holiday gift or too. if you say well I can't bring a basket..You don't have to make a basket to participate, you could buy a raffle ticket and contribute that way.All the money will go to a good cause. Pay it forward. Please spread the word.
Thank you CatMom
We are up to 5 Will you be 6 ? We have Kansas, Washington, Oregon, Ohio and Florida so far.If your state is already being represented. Feel free to represent still . We all have different perspectives of where we live. Or you could do one on based on your likes/child's likes etc. Just have fun with it. Pay it forward its for a good cause. Please help spread the word. Wouldn't want anyone to miss out on the fun.
