Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 950

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Oh this is where my son Alex is. Any other moms here?

Just figuring this board out....my girl is in this one as well

Sticks........today she carried the America Samoan flag

I saw her!

My son is! Just made flight reservations he will be staying in the Great Lakes for A school!

yes my son is there as well

Me......just received my letter last night

My SR is in Ship 02 Div 950.

I got the box and the form letter, but no call or personal letter yet.  No news is good news...

Did y'all know that Div 950 will be performing at the PIR's on 10/11 and 10/18?

I plan to watch live streaming of those events, hoping to get a glimpse of my girl.

She is going to A School in Pensacola, FL for AV (Avionics Tech).

What are they performing?

I am still learning where to go to get info and can you post a link to the live streaming? I would be very grateful. Thank you!

Fleur

You can watch the live streaming by going to the RTC website

http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/index.asp

and then following the link they have on there.

I haven't watched any of the live streaming yet, but I watched parts of some PIR's on YouTube.  Super cool to watch, very moving, especially now that I know Div 950 will be carrying the flags.

Did you join the Navy4Moms 900 Division group?  If you do, you can find out a lot about what our SR's are doing.

I had no clue about any of this, so I'm grateful to all the people on this site who explain things so well.

No box still today and just rec'd form letter last night.......no call either but I didn't expect one till maybe next week.  I did mail off several letters to her this morning I was so excited.

Yes I saw that on the main site I have mixed emotions about watching - I want to see her so bad but want the moment of the PIR to be special I guess.  My Mom and Dad have already watched some, but he was Navy already and was excited to see what it is like now days.

Mine is also going to A School in Pensacola for AS (change from her original Hosp Corp)

Have you booked your stay yet?  Congratulations to you and your girl

I'm staying at the Navy Lodge.  Sarge said it was a good place to stay, and it is only $66 per night.  Do you know where you're staying?

I agree with what you said below about the Faces of Bootcamp video.  Probably made especially to reassure mothers, but if so it works!  I felt better after seeing what it's like there.

Is Pensacola anywhere near where you live?  That will be nice if you can visit your daughter while she's in A school.  I won't make it to Florida, but my daughter and I are both hoping she gets stationed on the west coast--Then I can visit more easily.

Congratulations to you and your daughter, too!
