Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 903

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hello Everyone!!  I am very excited that my son is in div 903!!!  I'm hoping to catch a glimpse of him in the PIR's on 11/15 and 11/22 on the "live stream" of those PIR's!!!

Hi Nate'sMom. My son Ryan is in the 900 Div. In the letter we recieved, Ryan wrote a note saying that he should be calling on Sat. Keeping fingers crossed that i hear from him today.

Hi There! I got the call today and I feel much better! Graduation can't come fast enough!

Heard from my brother today!!! My mom tried to merge the call but it wouldn't work.. Waiting on them to finish up so I can interrogate her! Lol

So is the name of his ship Reuben James?? And are the recruits there all arrived the 2nd or 3rd of Oct??

hi all....didn't see this discussion until now. My son is in 903, he arrived RTC on 10/1, his rating is AW, Aircrew.I had an AMAZING 30 min phone call from him today!!! :)
he said there are 5 other guys going to NACC in pensacola with him, one is AC, the others AW...if one of these is your son, know that they found each other and they are sticking together! ;)
I asked how he got in this Div, he said they watched him, quized him, placed him. Ship Staff/Honor Guard. :)
he also said he's gonna call abot 2/mth. hopefully! :)

I got a call from my son as well. He is on Ship 02 Div 903. He said something about this being a special unit. Does anyone know anything about this? Also, how do I change my username?

It is the ship staff/honor guard division. It is a good thing!

Thanks!

MattsMom - during the call with my son yesterday, he also said they were the elite division (but a little ticked that not all the guys in there are taking it seriously, they already have a demerit for some talking while at Med Check). He is Ship Staff, and is thinking of trying out for Honor Guard (says there's nothing to lose but not getting it, either way still Ship Staff) He is NOT a performer, as in MU, or singer, and has no drilling experience before this.  He said he was being watched by the RDCs, then asked some questions, given some commands to perform, and they told him he would be Ship Staff.

VERY PROUD of him  - and HE sounds Proud of HIMSELF!!! Best feeling ever!! :o)

Thank you for the reply. I am sure that my son was chosen the same way as yours as he said that he was asked a lot of questions. BELIEVE ME.....he has no singing or musical abilities! LOL

The 903 Div is a performing division. Flagman, Choir, music performer ect. My son told me today that at 3:30 they would find out all about it, butI got my call from him at 2:30. My son said that it is a great bunch of guys in this division and that thier Petty Officer's were really cool. He is really enjoying the challenge of boot camp and he was so full of enthusiasm. I am so relieved and am still on cloud nine tonight!
