Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 903

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I got the call today and it was an amazing 42 minutes. He is doing so good. I could tell he was tired, but he was so positive. He said he was getting to sit down while we were on the phone and said "sitting down is like Christmas" He said that their division is like a brotherhood. He would get choked up when he tried to tell us he missed us, but I am very impressed with his outlook. He said they will be swimming next week. He also said that they haven't given him any of his mail yet and I have been sending letters for a while. I think they will get it soon though!

I feel so relaxed now. I think I will actually sleep tonight!!

Congrats to those who heard from their SRs and for those who haven't yet, know they are looking out for each other and praying you hear soon!

Hi-

I know that feeling-- i got a phone call on Saturday also from my son.  He seems very positive and said the same about the Division-- Great people.

I was so excited to hear his voice- considering the phone call on 10/1 was not the happiest one I got..

21anne  Hi!! My son is there too!! this is so exciting!1  I cant wait to watch !  I was going to keep PIR a surprise and not watch until I found out he was going to be in them!!   YAY!!

Congrats on all the calls today, ;)  what a great Saturday that turned out to be!!! cant wait till !!  11-27!!

I heard from my son on Saturday!! Held it together while talking but, happy tears right after the call. Super excited for them all!!

Today is football Sunday! I get to watch as many games and broadcasts as possible so that I can give my son the update on his favorite team, the Ravens, as well as his fantasy team players. Suprisingly, when I spoke with him yesterday, he managed to get all the info on last weeks games already. This was one of the most difficult things for him going to bootcamp - not being able to watch football.  I can say this to all of you mothers who have a son in his division/ship - he is VERY competitive! He is a great teammate. He's been in sports his whole life and knows what it takes to be a team player. He is physically fit and he is a great and loyal friend--anyone who knows him would tell you the same thing.

I was wondering the same thing.. How did he end up in the performing division.. lol his recruiter said it was probably because he had experience since he had been in ROTC.. He told he didn't know how he got placed there either but that he didn't care since his RTC was 7 weeks and he wanted to keep it that way.. Lol he was super excited said RDC's were pretty cool and he had made several friends.. He will be going to A school in Pensacola. Aviation Machinist.. That's my brother! :) I'm super happy that he likes it and is happy but I miss him a great deal.

Hi everyone, my boyfriend is in division 903 Ship 02 and he arrived at RTC on 10/01. I was wondering if anyone else had made their hotel arrangements for graduation yet? Since I will be traveling by myself, I am trying to figure out where the best place to stay will be that will have a nice room, a shuttle to and from graduation, and also an affordable price. I would really appreciate any recommendations or comments! Also if anyone is from the Buffalo area please let me know because that is also where I am from! Want to see if my future sailor is surrounded by anyone close from home! :)

Hello-- i would start checking out airfare-- I booked tickets on Friday-- we are from Rhode Island but leaving out of Boston.  The Thanksgiving holiday has increased airfare considerably.  We are staying at the Marriott in Waukegan- they offer shuttle service.

This is a first trip for us to Chicago-- looking forward to it.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Hey Everyone,

I am new to N4M and my husband arrived to RTC on 10/02 and is in SHIP 02/ DIV 903. I was wondering if I should start buying my plane ticket and making hotel reservations now? I've already started doing my research, but I am not sure what hotel is closest to the graduation and more affordable. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to comment.

I spoke to him saturday for the first time and he sounded great, I miss him so much, and so does our two year old son. But none the less I am so proud of him and ALL the SR's that are hanging in there strong. This tuesday I believe is the start of 1-1. So the real training begins.

I dont know a lot about the NAVY but this website and NAVY.COM has helped me a lot to understanding the procedures and new terminologies. "Knowledge is Power :) "

Hi--

I would start looking for plane tickets--prices are high due to the Thanksgiving holiday.  We are flying from Boston on Tuesday and returning on Friday.  We live in Rhode Island.   Check out the brochure for hotels, we are staying at the Marriott in Waukegan-- they offer shuttle service.. GOOD LUCK.

i got a phone call from my son on Saturday-- it was the best phone.  So relieved to hear he is doing fine.
