Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 903

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I just finished speaking to my husband, for about 20mins, I was so over joyed with happiness that I was speaking to him while wiping the tears of my face every second. He told me that they mailed out their letters today so we should receive some this week. I am so happy that I got to hear his voice, I really can't wait till PIR!
This phone call was shorter because he said their dividing their time with another division. Hope you all hear from your SR's today. Have a blessing day!

Spoke with my son this afternoon - quite a surprise since I sat by the phone for HOURS yesterday awaiting a call and just figured they didn't get to call this weekend. Says that they only got like 15 minutes today and that they won't be calling for another 3 weeks. Says half of the people who needed their wisdom teeth out got them out this week and he and the other half are having theirs out on Friday. He said things are getting a little easier. I didn't get enough time to talk with him because I had to share with my husband (Boooo!).  He said that today is the first day that they got some "free" time for about 6 hours. He went to church and then wrote some letters.

MattsMom...I did the same thing yesterday!  I cancelled plans to make sure I was home...just in case!  We put our phone on speakerphone when he calls that way we can both hear and talk at the same time. (and not have to share lol) Wow, 3 weeks!  He didn't tell me that

I was so down yesterday because to be honest, I sat by the phone and put off some things waiting to hear from him. I was sure that he had his wisdom teeth taken out this week and was anxious to hear something. So all of those things I put off yesterday, I did today and when he called, I was outside cutting the grass so he called my husband on his cell phone. I went to put it on speaker phone and accidentally hung up on my son. He was already stressed that he only had about 10 minutes so my husband was a bit frustrated. Oh well, stuff happens!! (LOL).  Anyway, so glad you heard from your son as well. One phone call to hear his voice and be able to speak with him is worth more than 100 letters a week!

I too was so happy and surprised to hear from my son today. I think last night was my toughest night yet. No phone call or mail so very down. Feeling so much better tonight! He didn't say anything about 3 weeks before another call. I did ask him about his wisdom teeth. He said he didn't have to have them out which surprised me because the orthodontist recomended it a few years ago. He said he went to church today along with 8 others. Said it was great! Told me he was one of the honor guard at the 3 graduations. Gets to twirl the rifle. So proud of him! Have a great night!

It sounds as though your son and mine are doing some of the same things. He went to church today and he is twirling the rifle as well at the graduation. I asked him how church was and he said it was really good.

Hello Ryan's mom, Matts Mom, Nate's mom and all the others who have written. I'm Sam's mom and haven't been to this site for a week, now so encouraged!! He called his girlfriend for the 43 min call last week so she relayed the info and I got to hear his voice for 10 min. while we were leaving church this Sun.. So thankful to hear your guys are all in the group. Are they marching PIR NOV 1 and 15 or Nov 15 and 22?? Been wondering about the Thanksgiving dinner too; meeting together would be great if the guys thought so too. We bought Chicago tickets but don't know which day they will fly them to Pennsacola??He passed his first PFA! Been writing too and still waiting for a return letter:) Bless ea.one of you for your hearts and the sons you've raised :)

Hi  Ps93:4

My son is in 903 also!  They will be doing PIR on 11/15 and 11/22.  Your son, more than likely will not know when he is flying out until maybe the 26th or the 27th, there is always a chance that he could know before that but it is unlikely from what I have read in earlier posts.

Hi 21anne:) Thanks for the note! Yes I'm getting more used to accepting the Navy will let us know when the Navy lets us know! Texas nice place to winter?

Well, I have visited Texas in the summer and winter,  and the summer there is too hot!  My SR was glad that he was going during the winter months.  My other son did boot camp in San Antonio in July and spent the fall in San Angelo, TX for training.  He said it was a whole lot of suck.  However it is all what you are use to and what you like... I am not a huge fan of extremes (Hot or Cold).  LOL

Hi Sam's mom. We will have to exchange #'s before PIR so we can get together if the guys want. Counting down the days!

Watch the livestream for PIR dates 11/15 and 11/22. You all might get an early glimpse of your SR. :)
