Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 017 and 018

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My call was short too the line was full of static I think because of the rain in the area.  We are attending PIR for sure and i have talked to my husband about the meet and greet he is still thinking about it depends on when we get in town.  Look forward to seeing all of our guys real soon

Stephen is 19 and the youngest of 3.  I heard from him on the 18th for just a quick call--boy do I miss him.

Hi All, my son Chris is in Div 018 shares same stories of sore throat. This week was removal of wisdom teeth. He said other than being yelled at a lot he's doing ok. Sounds very military now, what a change a week can make. Thanks for sharing your thoughts here makes me feel like I am not alone in my concern and excitement for our kids. So proud!

Hello

Good morning hope all are well hopefully they can call tomorrow.  I got a letter yesterday very happy!  take care moms

Got a call today around 6 it was so good to hear his voice still sounds sick.

The link to the livestream is on the main comment page of this group, it is located in the "PAGES" column which is directly below the member pictures.

Hi NAVY moms!! Half way there! Did anyone whose SR is in Ship 13 Div 018 get a call this weekend? I did not, guessing my son had watch but sure did miss hearing his voice! Have a blessed week!!

My son is also Ship 13 DIV 017.  I wonder if they know each other.

My son called Friday evening (around 5:30) and said they are doing good, considering it is BC.  He said he wants to go eat in Chicago after PIR and that even McDonald's sounds good.  I told him I already knew what he wanted us to bring to him after graduation -- boxers, Q-Tips, his own body wash, phone, computer.  He laughed and confirmed these items and then asked how I knew.  I told him N4M is VERY informative.  He also said he wants his iPod or his phone but for the MUSIC.  That he really misses listening to music.  funny!

Anyway, he said they would probably not call again for two or three weeks.  So, I guess I will be listening to the stuffed tiger I made him make for me at Build-A-Bear.  Yeah, I know I am a little old for a stuffed animal but the funny thing is that my husband pushes the recorded voice button more than I do!!  And he says good morning to it each morning and then good night.  I highly recommend you building a bear or a tiger (that is what we did) and adding the recorded voice option to it.  I can hear my son say "I love you Mom and Dad and will be home soon.  Miss you" over and over.  We even dressed it in a navy outfit and bought it glasses since my son wears them.  I got the Build-A-Bear idea from another posting on this site.

Can't wait to see his BC glasses.  AKA Boot Camp aka Birth Control glasses.  ha ha

I talked to Stephen Friday evening, also.  Sounded tired.  I think Stephen is really looking forward to PIR and getting a little rest.  Stephen told me before he left that he wants his computer and ipod! Hope he put all his chargers with the equipment.
