Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 802
Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).
sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining this discussion to answer your questions about the "800" division.
Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.
Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.
We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there ladies!!!

My sons birthday is shortly after graduation. I would like to bring him his PS3 and a small tv. Can he have this at Pre-Buds?
Hello ladies :) My SO is on ship 04 in Div 802 :)
I've gotten two letters from him so far but he's not called home other than the "I made it" call. I doubt he will call home - he's not the type to get homesick.
He had asked in a letter for me to send a page of inspiring quotes so he can call them out to the division in the morning... I wanted to encourage you ladies to include your favorite inspiring quotes in your letters as well, our boys are getting broken down and rebuilt, it's essential we assist in boosting morale and pushing them to succeed. I've also included mini tests such as what The 11 General Orders are, etc, for when they take their test.
My SO says he likes the men in his division (kudos to you ladies on raising good sons) and has gotten fairly close to a few of them.
I'm excited to see what he, as well as your sons, achieve in the pursuit of reaching their dreams and I look forward to getting to getting to know you ladies!
We still haven't gotten any calls or letters, not even his girlfriend, so it's good to hear everyone else's stories. Where are the mini tests you referred to? If you can't add here, can you message them to me?
Thank you!
They aren't existing tests, they are ones that I've created from their START handbook. Things such as the chain of command, vessel names, the 11 General Orders, those sorts of things. I got a START handbook from a recruiter and have gone through and created tests/study guides for him out of the information available in the book.
Have you written him?
There is about a 5 or 6 day delay on my letters from him - and I'm less than 30 miles from Great Lakes... So be hopeful, your letters may just be delayed. They do collection on Sunday but that doesn't mean the letters are sent out on Monday.
Be patient and hopeful! :)
CiCi, you may be surprised. Its a nice break to get to make a phone call. They dont get them too often
Finally got a phone call. All is well!!! He sounded strong and positive.
Also got a phone call. Good to hear his voice. He's struggling some. He said it was tough but that he was ok. He didn't sound convincing so I checked with his best friend who he also called and found out that he had messed up and the squad? division? had to march extra. I know that upset him, he's a team player and would rather take one for the team. I sure the guilt was worse than the punishment. He's holding up well physically but being challenged mentally.
Sorry you missed the call Mumser. <3 I received the form letter right after the box. Bootcamp started Oct 1 for my boy and pir is nov.22 but I think some have Nov. 27 pir. I know Nov 27 pir has two 800 divisions.
