Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 025 and 026

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi All,

I am back. My mother and I were in France for 10 days- she gave me this trip over a year ago. And while it was really hard to be away- I did get word that my son called his little sister while I was gone. She was thrilled to be the one to get the call- she feels so important delivering all of his news!  I need to catch up on the world and want to read thru what everyone else has heard- I will for sure this weekend.

I had two letters waiting for me when I got home. He sounds really happy, proud of his division- said they have a real chance for Hall of Fame- has anyone else heard that?  Oh and the cooking is better than mine. What???????

I also wanted to share my experience at the beaches of Normandy with all of you. The American Cemetery opened up the day I got there and I spent time with a former Navy guy who served in Vietnam. I am so proud of our children. They aren't only finding what to do but who they want to be. It was a total inspiration to see men who served collecting the sand at the beach to take home with them. I cried the entire day- but proud tears....

I will check in soon I promise- It's so good to be back!!

Welcome Home !! We were wondering where you disappeared to :)  So glad you enjoyed the trip .  Also thrilled that you represented us on the beach @ Normandy...

Hi thorgirl17.  My son is also in division 026, He too is very happy with the division and said they were working well together. Makes my heart smile.

Please keep sharing what your sons relays and I will do the same. Just can't get enough on what's happening in there!

Glad to hear you had a great trip. Aahh...heartwarming stuff about Normandy/American Cemetery and the soldiers there.

So glad to see you thorgirl! Glad you had a good time! Normandy sounds incredible. How awesome.

Yay for Hall of Fame! I have heard about it, but not completely sure what it is. I believe they get special honors and mention at PIR?

Yea! Just spoke to my son. They received an extra call for a reward. Way to go 026! He is doing well. Was at sick bay but is on light duty now. Stay by your phones! :)
My SR called too. (The GF). Was very sick to but was still working. Said he got all his uniforms yesterday. All was good but not feeling good. Only talked for a few minutes.

My son just called about an hour ago. Sounds like Div 26 is doing a bang up job!! He also told me about getting their uniforms.  He got his teeth pulled the other day and needs a root canal on the 7th but is feeling strong proud and happy.  He only had 2 minutes on his calling card and we got disconnected. He called back a few minutes later- one of his mates lent him a calling card so he could finish his conversation.  Thank you to that SR and if his mom heard about it- you have a great young man there- so thoughtful!!!!

Thorgirl, do you know where your son is going for A school?

Mine is going to Florida. Aviation Machinist.

He is a nuke. Heading to Goose Creek, SC

025 got to call but only for a short one - seems they haven't quite gotten themselves together yet....oh well. GF got the call, he is ok, teeth still giving him grief, had to go back & have his gum lanced for an infection - seems better I guess.  I am down, but relieved he is still standing.   YAY to the 026 Moms - maybe they should kick their brothers in the pants & get them motivated lol.

Aw :-( I sure hope he feels better quick. Seems our guys have a bit of bad luck with their health and teeth. I have a strong feeling that we are going to spend a lot of time in our hotel room watching him sleep and relax and play video games PIR weekend, lol!!

Glad everyone got their calls :-) I was really sad after the call, grateful for the call I got, but sad I didn't get to hear his voice. BUT I told myself to suck it up and get over it :-)

We have all raised some fine young people, ladies!

My husband was saying the same thing. He's one of the older ones in the group and he's trying to motivate the younger guys. It was really hard to talk to my husband this time around. He lost his voice and was so sad. I was just telling him don't give up, you guys will get it together. It just takes some time. But I did break down and cry after we hanged up. I know how you are feeling right now. But we have to be strong for them. And I totally agree with their brothers kicking them in the pants! LOL!
