Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 015 and 016
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Must be meltdown Sunday...Hit me too. Not sure which is harder son at basic and not being able to pick up the phone to him or son getting married and all your thoughts, ideas, and opinions being shot down by the mother of the bride.

I want my kids to elope or a wedding on a beach or mtn top something quick and easy. 1 daughter and 1 son. Son is oldest. Daughter is in college. When she gets married look out. We are toooooo much a like. Very hard headed. Her not me.:))

I would just go with their plans and sit back and relax! I only have one daughter and pray she isn't a bridezilla. Glad the next 3 are boys!

My daughters was so much easier...the bride is very laid back it's the MOB...funny thing is her ex and my hubby and I are footing the bill with the kids!! I thought the boys would be easier but not really seeing it.
Oh well...the key is the vows, commitment, and love...the greatest of these is love!! :)

from him this week. Did anyone receive a call from their
son/daughter in that Division this week?

We are in Div 016 and have not received a call since 10/18. We have been getting letters though. They sound like things are really coming together for them. Hoping the no news is good news. They should be fine, but let me know! Praying for you!

Thank you for letting me know you have not received a call since 10/18. The last call we received was also on 10/18. Just look so forward to hearing my son's voice and hearing how things are going. We have also been getting letters which is wonderful to be able to read what he is experiencing in boot camp. I miss him so much. Hope to talk to you soon. Prayers coming your way too!

Last time we spoke was our 2nd call and that was oct 19. She told us then she probably wouldn't be able to call til week 6.

I haven't gotten a call since 10/12/13. I believe mine had watch when the 10/18/13 calls came. Did get a letter last week though. Sounds like they are doing well. Can't wait for the sailor call
