Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 017 and 018
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Thank you Stephen's mom! I don't even know what week we are in! I just know graduation is in 16 days (or so I hope it is still 16 days for my son!).
Me too!! Not talking to Stephen for the last 3 weeks has been so hard. I'm hoping all the recruits do well and all will graduate on the 22nd. Good luck to all of us!
Does anyone know if they are in week 5 or 6. Also wondering when Battle Stations is going to be. If they are graduating in 16 days, they must be close to Battle Stations. Our Ben has been writing regularly.
Thank you! I hate not knowing things. I am praying that my son is doing well and will graduate on time! I don't think I could wait any longer to see him!
What exactly is Battle Station and how long does that take? I am such a newbie to all of this:(
Kat72, You can go to Google and put in navy boot camp by the week. It tells you everything they do that week. By Ben's letters, they are in week 6 and are doing fire fighting and the confidence chamber. That site will explain everything. Battle stations is where they are given 12 different things to do and they have to work as a team to solve each and every problem. They will be given they Navy ball cap when Battle Stations are completed.
I can't remember if I have already asked, about gifts for graduation. If I have I am sorry! If I haven't any suggestions or advice would be great. Is there a standard gift? Does anyone have any thing they could recommend? And if so where do you get the amazing gifts! Any help would be great thanks!
Hello Kat72. We got our grandson a beautiful cross that we have engraved with his graduation date. We did the same for our grandson when he graduated from boot camp for the marines.
I do believe week 6 as week 8 would be in the week of the 22 :) hope we all get letters today
I'm not sure. We got letters from our grandson that says that his will be sent to us when he decides which ones he likes and to whom he wants to give them to. I can't wait to get his. I am a custom framer and I will proudly display it in my store next to his high school graduation picture.
I would think that they wouldn't be on the internet.
Got a letter today, boy this last week seemed to take forever. My SR said that they did great on Hell week and that they are doing great as a division. He said that they got 2 new flags and 2 pennants and that that is great. He said that Friday they will go into the "confidence" Chamber. My son also said that some of the division pictures are Hilarious and that I will love them. We only have 15 days and a wake up. :)
