Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 025 and 026

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Letters waiting at home for me :)
Hope traffic doesn't take forever!!!

Yay!! How were they? How does he sound?

He sounds great and said that this week is "Hell Week" But he is looking forward to it. And he is having a root canal on the 7th (today)

He listed a bunch of recruits who have become his best friends... last names starting with K, C, G, W, P, O and M- two of them are country boys who make fun of him because he so isn't but wants to be a country boy ;)

Ew, root canal :-(  Maybe he will get some rest!!

My letters said a ton of fun stuff. He seems a lot more upbeat, talking about memories we've had and all sorts of little stuff that's going on. Seems to me like less complaining.lol he said last week they lost a couple more shipmates, but he wasn't surprised by it. Also said he's handed out 2 "dear johns" letters,he's the mail guy, and says it sucks to hand out mail like that. Also said they have been getting a lot of homework that is "undoable" as in too much.
He's main concern is our living situation and pay. He said he's feeling guilty he can't be here to help. Says the RDC are all married and have kids tho so they can't be bad parents right? Breaks my heart to hear him say he's feeling guilty. Comes with the beast though I guess.
Talks about Hell week and said Mondays schedule was, "3am wake up 4am PFA(physical/max push ups,sit ups, and a 1.5 mi run) THEN breakfast, we have a personal inspection and a weapon transfer inspection that day as well." Said if their average score is a 4.8/5.0 they get a call and a trip to the nex for Taco Bell. Says there scores have been 4.5 and 4.7 " we are smart, clearly"
Also have simulated weapon firing and live fire. As well as marching inspection and Friday is their second writen test. If 10 ppl get a 60/60 right they get a phone call, but he's says he wouldn't bet a penny on that.
Says if I want to know what they are doing to look up some cadence songs on YouTube. Captain jack and steamroller are the two he named.
Also mentioned a poem called good timber, it's a good little read :)
Proud: Will definitely look up the candence songs. :)) Lots of good information in your letter. Although sometimes rough having to give out "dear john" letters your husband must be very popular with the division :)
Lots of homework huh? My son hated that part of school so it will interesting to see what he says about it. But those are some great scores for the division.
I've heard things ease up in the 5th week. Sure hope that's true for these guys!

Thanks for sharing. I hope the time passes quickly so your family can be reunited again.

Sounds pretty much like my letter, lol! Mine said he got a 4.6 on his test. Hoping he does better on #2! I'd really like to talk to him.

I think my son might be one of the older guys too (he's 20). I talk to his gf almost every day so I am pretty sure he wasn't one of the "Dear John" victims. My son talked about all the homework too and listed all the things they do during hell week. MCA PI, ZONE/DMI, WTI, Drill Inspection, PFA check

I need to go look it all up ;)

Ship 11 Div 26  Private message me and we can see if it is one of the names he mentioned :)

Hubby moved SR's truck today to get his '53 Chevy out of the garage. For a split second when I turned on our street, my head said *Hey! T is home!!* Then I cried . . . lol

Aww.  I catch my self in the evening.  My SR used to work until 10pm. Each night he would set the alarm when he got home. My oldest moved back until they get their house.   If im asleep now and my oldest son gets home late and sets the alarm, it will wake me and I think its my SR. :(

Im so excited. I looked at a calender today...so close!!!  I cant wait to see them all. :)
